Beautiful hotel but a bit dated. Great staff and breakfast. Rooms need updating and need someone to help with taking up and bringing down luggage from the upper floors. Otherwise, our stay was very nice.

Hotel La Vela is a pretty, castle like hotel in the hills above Santa Margherita Ligure. From the entrance you get a beautiful view of the town below. Our room was small, but comfortable and with great A/C which was perfect since a heatwave had just started. Within walking distance of the town centre, but a little tricky to get to the first sidewalk and the streets are quite narrow. Staff are nice and helpful!

This was a very cool property I’m very glad I chose it. The room while a little dated was clean and comfortable. It was a hike up to the property but worth it. There are other hotels with easier access to the city center, but the view from this property is amazing.

A very unique and charming hotel with a great staff and wonderful views! Only downside is no elevator and if you are on top floor with heavy luggage it’s a little annoying. Other than that love it!

The room itself is basic but the hot water never worked which is a problem for a hotel cost almost 200 USD per night. The people at the desk are totally indifferent to guests. The biggest issue is how unsafe it is to walk to the hotel from town as there are no sidewalks and blind curves. I couldn't imagine having a stroller in this environment.
