"Hotel La Vela is a pretty, castle like hotel in the hills above Santa Margherita Ligure. From the entrance you get a beautiful view of the town below. Our room was small, but comfortable and with great A/C which was perfect since a heatwave had just started. Within walking distance of the town centre, but a little tricky to get to the first sidewalk and the streets are quite narrow. Staff are nice and helpful!"

"Perfect location and great value! Upon check in, we upgraded to an oceanfront room for about $65 a night. VERY much well worth it!! Our view from the patio was pretty much what you see in the main picture. Everything was amazing about this place!! Don't hesitate and book this place, you won't regret it!!"

"We really enjoyed our stay! It is a cute hotel and a great location. We walked to all the shops, restaurants, and boat ride. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the patio. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the reasons why we stayed here was for the beach access. We didn't realize we had to pay to go to the beach so we only got to go one time. For our group of 6 it was $300 to go to the hotel's beach. Otherwise we would have spent more time at the beach. The showers were leaky and had to use up the towels each time."
