About this property

Casita Azul: historic and cozy Santa Fé adobe

  • Step into the charm of this historic adobe casita, tucked in a მშვიდ, quiet village just 10 minutes from Santa Fe. Perfect for a peaceful getaway, it blends authentic character—brick floors, exposed beams, and a kiva fireplace (cleaning fee applies)—with modern comforts like heating, A/C, fast Wi-Fi, and a large-screen TV.

The casita features a spacious living area with a striking fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private patio with covered porch—ideal for relaxing in the high desert air. The bedroom offers a king bed and beautiful antique furnishings, while a full-size futon in the living room accommodates additional guests. (Note: the bedroom is set apart but not fully enclosed.)

Enjoy trails right outside your door, with dining and shops just a short drive away. Surrounded by mountains, desert landscapes, and big open skies, it’s a tranquil, safe retreat.

Casa Corazón, located on the same property with its own driveway and patio, can also be rented for larger groups.

You’ll have the entire casita to yourself. I live nearby and am available if needed, while respecting your privacy.

A car is recommended due to the rural setting.

Comfortable, cozy retreat

We were very pleased with the casita. Perfect size for a couple, nice patio with a large table to relax at, and everything very clean and well appointed. Also enjoyed being well outside of town in a private, beautiful location. Don’t miss the gorgeous sunset views just a short walk from the back of the property! Thank you Herve for providing a lovely retreat for our 2-night stay in Santa Fe.

Lovely home outside of Santa Fe, perfect to get away from the traffic in town but not to far to get where we wanted to visit in town. Beautiful home and so peaceful.

From quick and easy check-in instructions to the complete house book that answered all of our questions, this was truly an amazing stay. The house is absolutely gorgeous with tile throughout and a true New Mexico home experience! Heaters worked well to keep the place cozy on the snowy mornings we had. Modern amenities throughout the house also made the stay very comfortable. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of town and enjoy the countryside but still want to be close to everything Santa Fe has to offer, this is the place for you.

Great location! Just a 10 minute drive into Santa Fe - loved being removed from the city a bit. Really quiet, peaceful, private, and beautiful location. A really cute house and it had everything we needed for a 3 night stay, including an electric kettle, coffee maker, and blender.Only complaint is concerning the beds. The main bed has big sunken in spots on either side where it’s been quite worn in which made it pretty uncomfortable and tough to move around in/get out of; the futon in the living room when unfolded was at a pretty good slant so we had to use pillows on the low side so our toddler wouldn’t roll off the bed. Would only take away half a star if I could for that because besides the quirky beds it was a really lovely stay!

We loved staying here. We were two single women so used both beds. The bathroom is off the living room so those using the futon have to go thru the bedroom to get to the bathroom. We loved the peace and quiet after the dense tourist area of downtown Santa fe. You can hike from the door. I would stay here again. Laundry great. Well stocked kitchen. Host communicates well.
