"Signore Dante was absolutely amazing, his customer service was priceless! Housekeeping was really helpful as well! "Absolutely magical stay and the highlight of our month long trip. This place is amazing and remarkably affordable this time of year (late September) Staying in an 11th century castle with suites rooms that have had the essentials very cleverly modernised without losing the stunning authenticity of the castle. Paolo took us on a wonderful tour of the castle including into its depths explaining all the history. Francesco was wonderful in making sure we were taken care of and Laura is an amazing chef. The breakfast has to be seen to be believed. This is a family owned property they have inherited and they have done an incredibly job of preserving and enhancing it. You wake up in the morning and have to pinch yourself to make sure you are not still dreaming. It even has EV charging in the car park which was great for us. (you don't want to pay European petrol prices!) We enjoyed ourselves so much we are making it our anniversary holiday stay every year from now on."

"What a place.... We were supposed to stay just one night but extended the stay. Fantastic staff, specifically Liisa (reception) and Alex (restaurant). They both made our stay warm and welcome. Fantastic place, great swimming pool with private seats and lawn chairs. Super clean, large and well equipped rooms. Scenery is unbelievable. We will definitely come back."

"My wife, two teenage children, and two other teenage traveling companions visited Montefortino and it was an all around amazing time and experience! The host and his wife treated us all like family the moment we arrived and he wouldn't rest until he knew everyone was feeling perfectly bliss. They cooked and fed us like kings and queens our entire stay. He insisted on obliging us on any question or simple inquiry to learn more about and enjoy everything in the absolutely beautiful region and environment. The home is a spacious comfort cottage in the mountains. The air conditioners were new, reliable, and everyone slept perfectly sound. An added bonus was knowing we'd be waking up to a delicious home cooked breakfast feast that was waiting for us to enjoy under the beautiful morning sun. The real beauty, however, is the people. On our last night, at our impromptu request, the host and his wife welcomed us into their kitchen to teach our four teenagers to make traditional pasta and desserts. Their loving dogs entertained my family that night and for our entire stay. We ended up eating dinner and celebrating that night with them and a few others from the surrounding towns. None of us were ready to leave when it was time to head out. You don't want to miss this experience!"
