The staff were excellent. Friendly & helpful with a seamless and quick check-in and check-out. The room facilities also excellent. Where I think it comes up slightly short is the pool was very warm and shallow and not at all refreshing. The pool area is lovely with plenty of beds and enough space to not have people very close to you. The breakfast buffet was nice but only had one very dry bacon every day which seemed like turkey bacon? It wasn’t very nice. I also think it is the only 5 star restaurant where there is no table service of proper coffee and tea. I would also like a room to shower and change when you check out. We used the facility in the spa but it was stiflingly hot and we were soaked with sweat by the time we’d changed into our travelling clothes. Overall, these are fairly minor complaints simply because you expect these things from a 5 star hotel. I can’t fault the room and the friendly and helpful staff and we enjoyed our stay

A fantastic couples long weekend away. Great service from reception (even before we arrived), the restaurant and pool service. The massage in the spa was one of the best my wife has had. The food was fantastic, the pool was brilliant a fantastic place to relax... we are definitely coming back and next time we will bring the children.

Lovely hotel in peaceful setting

Lovely quiet location. We were upgraded to a suite which was lovely but not so good having to walk across the road to the main hotel for food, indoor pool, entertainment etc Fantastic breakfast and tables not squashed together but didn't manage to eat dinner as it was fully booked both times we tried. Lovely large pool but too cold for us in early April. Ask for a room that gets sun as we had none on ours.

I would like to share some aspects of my and my husband's stay throughout our stay . When we arrived in front of the building, we were pleasantly surprised. A new building, beautiful on the outside as well as on the inside, with quite a few facilities. The reception served us with a glass of cold lemonade, which I found to be a very nice gesture. They handed us the keys, and we were eager to see the room. When we opened the door, a strong unpleasant smell was noticeable. We didn't pay much attention to this. It was something minor for us. The room seemed very spacious, with a rather beautiful view of the pool. However, I was unpleasantly surprised when I saw a lot of hair in the bathroom, both in the corners and on the towel, as well as a cockroach near the round drain in the bathroom. We didn't want to ruin our vacation, thinking that this could happen to anyone. We called the reception a few hours later because we needed an iron. They said they would send someone from housekeeping to bring it to us. I believe we waited about 40 minutes for someone to come and bring us what we needed. We wanted to take a shower, but the water pressure was very low, and the water was very hot. When we tried to adjust it to a normal temperature for showering, it either became too cold or too hot. We called the reception to tell them that it was impossible for us to take a shower, but unfortunately, nothing was resolved, leaving us to decide whether to take a shower or not with that water.

Booked at short notice for 3 nights. Lovely hotel we were upgraded to a suite. Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We only booked bed and breakfast. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Hotel grounds were in good condition. Despite being fully booked we had no trouble getting sun beds by the pool. Absolutely perfect short break and we will come back.

Great location and even better service

A three night stay at this hotel and their service truly blew me away. Pro-active and extremely considerate. As an example, I arrived late on Thursday evening and even though I had missed dinner they offered to bring to my room some food. It consisted of a large and delicious salad, a charcuterie plate with cheese, bread rolls and fruit. Then on the day of my departure, as I was leaving very early they offered me an early breakfast. Their attention to service was impeccable. As for the room the bed was very comfortable and the cleanliness was 10 out of 10. Would highly recommend it.

Booked through Expedia for myself and my 17 year old daughter. Expedia require you to state child's age and yet hotel charged me nearly 300 euros extra. Both companies then continued to blame each other rather than recognise the inconvenience and extreme cost to a customer. Will not book through Expedia again or this hotel chain. Bad communication and I'm greatly out of pocket.

The building is beautiful but feels old-fashioned and sparsely furnished, giving it an empty and ghostly atmosphere. Despite its quietness, you were consistently awakened at 8am by pool bar cleaning or noise from ping-pong players near your room. The hotel's location is set back from the beach and town center, situated on a busy route with traffic noise. It's also far from a suitable part of the beach for swimming. The pool is large but shallow, more like a giant paddling pool. Water cleanliness is an issue, as debris accumulates throughout the day. Entertainment is lacking, with minimal adult and child activity slots, and the activity leader isn't proficient. The "mini disco" is disappointing, lacking choreography. While the food is decent, there isn't much variety, especially for non-meat options, and the poolside food is subpar. Considering the price, including a high child supplement of €100 per night per child, the value for money is low. An incident with children's entertainment reveals poor service: painting on Hipocampo t-shirts resulted in an unexpected €10 charge per t-shirt, not clearly communicated beforehand. This lack of transparency and staff inflexibility are unsatisfactory for a supposedly 5-star hotel.

Beautiful hotel just undergone a huge renovation. Location excellent and amenities wonderful apart from the chickens and cockerels freely wondering around the pool all day long - apart from this our stay was wonderful.

Wir sind sind schon seit vielen Jahren Gäste in verschiedenen Hipotels gewesen. Dieses war leider unser schlechtestes Erlebnis. Wir waren wohl mit die ersten Gäste seit der Renovierung. Die Renovierung ist nur zum Teil gelungen und man hat den Eindruck, dass nicht alles renoviert wurde oder auch noch nicht vollständig fertiggestellt war. Es haben noch viele Restarbeiten stattgefunden. Der Spa Bereich war noch nicht geöffnet. Was uns persönlich geärgert hat waren der Umgang des Managements mit dieser Situation. Keine Entschuldigung, Beschwerden wurden einfach ignoriert. Es wurde diesmal auch keine Bewertung über Hipotels direkt angeboten. Durch die Einführung des Serenity Clubs entsteht eine Art zwei Zweiklassengesellschaft. Liegen am Pool und Tische beim Essen sind nun teilweise für Serenity-Gäste reserviert. Wir haben durchaus Verständnis, dass nach einer Renovierung nicht alles 100 Prozentig läuft. Der Umgang des Managements damit war jedoch befremdlich für uns. Schließlich hat man auch 100% der Reise bezahlt.

Das Hotel machte auf den ersten Blick einen sehr guten Eindruck. Die Zimmer waren sauber, das Badezimmer modern und gepflegt. Bei genauerem Hinsehen fielen jedoch zahlreiche Verarbeitungsmängel auf, die nicht dem entsprechen, was wir von einem 5-Sterne-Hotel erwarten. An vielen Stellen waren Kanten unsauber verarbeitet, Schalter schief montiert oder Details wenig hochwertig ausgeführt. In einem 3- oder 4-Sterne-Hotel wäre das für uns kein Problem gewesen, hier jedoch schon. Auch der Spa-Bereich wirkte zunächst ansprechend, zeigte bei genauerem Hinsehen aber einige Mängel. Im Whirlpool trieb zeitweise eine Lampe lose herum, ein Poolhandlauf war locker und beim Kaltwasserbecken fiel der Filter wiederholt heraus. Zudem war die Sauna für unser Empfinden zu niedrig temperiert. Das Hotel schien insgesamt noch nicht vollständig fertiggestellt zu sein. Hier hätten wir uns eine transparente Kommunikation vor der Buchung gewünscht. Das Speisenangebot war vielfältig und grundsätzlich gut. Die Umsetzung konnte uns jedoch nicht immer überzeugen. An der Grillstation war das Fleisch häufig zäh, unabhängig von der Garstufe. Medium bestellter Thunfisch wurde meist deutlich stärker gegart serviert. Zudem war der Reis oft nicht vollständig gegart, während die Nudeln häufig überkocht waren. Das Essen war keineswegs schlecht, ließ jedoch die Liebe zum Detail und die Qualität erwarten, die wir mit einem 5-Sterne-Hotel verbinden . Das Personal und der Service waren hier TOP !
