The room was very comfortable, the staff was very attentive and the breakfast buffet was delicious. I also loved the Magical restaurant overlooking the cove right in front of the resort’s main entrance. I traveled here for the solar eclipse and the hotel made my trip effortless!

We had a lovely stay at Barceló Portinatx. The staff were excellent throughout our holiday, and we met some really friendly people during our stay. The hotel has lovely rooms and fantastic pools, with beautiful sunsets to enjoy each evening. The pool bar food was excellent, the drinks were great, and the buffet was okay with a reasonable selection. We also had a fantastic meal at Los Enramados across the road, which I would highly recommend. One downside is that there are a lot of steps around the property, making it unsuitable for anyone with walking difficulties. Another minor annoyance was having to sign for everything despite being on an all-inclusive package. The patio furniture was comfortable, but the deckchairs were not very practical, so we ended up moving the furniture outside instead. Overall, I would recommend this property as a good 4-star hotel. While we enjoyed our stay, we probably wouldn’t return simply because we like to try different places when we travel.

Great Hotel & Perfect Quiet Location Hotel very clean and staff incredibly polite and friendly. Breakfast very good with large choice of fresh foods. The location is just perfect with a lovely mix of beach/pool & restaurants. Very close to a lovely beach/bay with a few exceptional restaurants close by (the Hotels restaurant on the beach - "Magical" is well worth a visit!) Our stay couldn't have been better!

The night manager who welcomed us in the early hours of 18th July was very helpful and took care of us after the long journey. Pool bar team and food excellent. Restaurant staff were excellent but the food selection was a little disappointing. Transfers to and from the airport booked through Expedia failed to deliver and ruined part of the holiday for us. We were abandoned at the airport on arrival after flight delay and had to book a rental car as huge taxi queue. Then had to return the car next day and take another taxi. The website for Expedia and the transfer site awful to make contact and resolve the issue. Finally managed to get a refund on the transfer both journeys as the return transfer had been cancelled due to no driver again. No contact was made to inform us of this!! Wasted too much time trying to resolve this online and by phone. Hotel had to book a local taxi firm to provide the service we had prepaid £200+ for. Won’t be doing that again with Expedia. Only offered a credit note for the inconvenience. Not good enough Expedia…..

Hotel was great, staff were friendly and always very helpful. Pool was nice and the hotel is a stones throw from the beach. Very quiet location. Could do with a bit more entertainment in the evenings and the veggie options are pretty limited in the evening meals but I would stay here again.

Awesome hotel with the best staff in the best location. The hotel was modern clean and light and the staff couldn’t do enough for you they were all great. Breakfast was superb with many options and the food from the pool bars was great too with the service excellent. A really fantastic hotel which made my birthday trip away with friends the best !

A lovely, relaxing stay at Barcelo, Portinatx. A small, friendly hotel with a beautiful quiet cove on the doorstep. Portinax has crystal clear water and was quiet enough in May before the crowds.

Everyone at the hotel was very helpful and friendly which made our stay so much more memorable. Love the location of the hotel: amazing sunset spot, next to a quiet beach, and scenic hiking route. Great having 2 pools, never too crowded or short of sunbeds. Gym area was well designed. Very good food option, can always find something we like.

Lovely hotel

Another lovely stay at the Barcelo. We will be back again for a relaxing adults only stay. The location is fab, the rooms are lovely as are the views. Lunch by the pool is excellent. Only areas for improvement are the quality of the evening buffet (despite being AI we ate out every night) and the odd occasional smell of drains around the lower pool.

Chilled beautiful hotel, amazing staff & location

This is a fabulous hotel, the service was excellent, the staff were so genuinely friendly and helpful. The views from the hotel across the sea are beautiful and the location is perfect, it’s just a 10 minute walk to the main restaurants and also to the main beach (there are 3). The ambience is very chilled and the decor in the hotel is perfect white Ibiza style with natural materials. Oh and there is a very friendly and gentle resident cat! Perfect in every way!

This resort and hotel are really only geared up for good weather, and it was mixed in the week we spent here. When the sun was shining it was lovely but there isn't much to do in Portinatx when it isn't (public transport is limited). It also might have been better to go earlier in the season (we were 6 - 13 Oct), as within the hotel it felt like some things were running out and not being replaced, and many restaurants were closed. Overall, a nice trip but the quality of the hotel didn't match the glowing reviews we'd read on line.

Fantastic holiday at Barcelo Portinatx

Outstanding hotel, and truly an adults only hotel in a lovely quiet part of the island. service fantastic, staff just so friendly and helpful. Food was delicious with lots of choice all freshly made. Such a very relaxing hotel, staff really help you make the most from your stay, their attention to detail was a real bonus. The room was wonderful, huge king sized bed, lovely patio with amazing sea view. We stayed all inclusive and the options and choices of food and drink were fantastic. Overall an amazing hotel, amazing staff and a wonderful holiday. We stayed in room B403, the picture is taken from our patio. We stayed in June

A Fantastic Stay at Barcelo Portinatx

Amazing experience - we had an outdoor jacuzzi room which was incredible with views to die for but our stay would not have been the same if not for the loveliest guest relations staff member I have ever met! Mell - you made our trip and my birthday extra special ... I loved how Mell checked on all the guests - but also on the staff which, on the Sunday, were extra busy and of course Mell was there helping in the restaurant! Breakfast was delicious and tasty every single day! Ruben (reception) and the Concierge boys (only know one name - Michael) were also super helpful and friendly. A great break away - I can't wait to return!

Adults only hotel that was mainly quiet around the pool areas, however, at certain times of the day there was noise coming from a block of apartments overlooking the 'quiet' pool. I'm not sure if this was staff residence or general public but children playing and shouting (not a problem to me but might be for those that want absolute 'Adults Only'. Also dogs barking and fighting and residence chatting/debating (noice carried) on their balconies. Food was good. I especially liked the food at the pool bar. All staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful rocky beach location.

Everything was great, we are very happy about our stay. The room is very nice (we had one with the hot tub), staff was very friendly, the food is amazing! One of the best I tried in hotel. But I have to drop one star because of one very annoying thing. Though we didn't have all inclusive, I would expect drinking water to be available freely. This was not the case, no coolers or whatsoever except for breakfast and dinner. This would have been okay if the tap water is of a good quality z but unfortunately that's not true on Ibiza.
