When is the best time to go to Sanremo Old Town?

The best time to visit Sanremo Old Town is during the shoulder seasons of April to June and September to October. These months offer pleasant weather, with comfortable temperatures ideal for exploring the narrow streets and historic sites without the intense heat or larger crowds of the peak summer months. You'll find most attractions, shops, and restaurants are fully open, but the overall experience is more relaxed. For couples looking for a romantic getaway, these periods are particularly appealing. You can enjoy strolls through La Pigna, the medieval heart of the Old Town, or along the Lungomare Imperatrice without feeling rushed. The slightly cooler evenings are superb for dining al fresco in one of the many local trattorias. Travellers who appreciate cultural events might also consider late May to early June, as this often coincides with local festivals and events before the main summer rush.

Best Western Hotel Mediterranee Menton

8/10 Good

"The reception staff were very helpful. The breakfast was very good with plenty of variety. The hotel is showing its age the carpets need replacing and the rooms need a bit of a spruce up. Saying that I believe some floors are already being renovated. We enjoyed the happy hour drinks and felt there should be something to encourage you to eat in the dining room. We did not eat dinner in the hotel as it was not highly rated on its reviews ."

Best Western Premier Hotel Prince De Galles

8/10 Good

"Room with a view. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Free water and soft drinks. Afternoon tea and cake. Breakfast comprehensive and lovely to sit outside.(except for the pigeons) Bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch. Clean towels daily. Would have been nice to have a mirror over the table with hairdryer.A bedside drawer."

Villa Sylva & Spa

8/10 Good

"The place was well situated and nice but low staffed. The pictures show a bit more vibrant bar, dining and patio area. The front desk person was covering for the bartender for instance. But they were very helpful. The front desk person helped take my heavy bags up the steps which was a big relief. Francesca was super helpful both in the bar area and the restaurant. The food was good for dinner and a nice breakfast. Would be nice to turn the bright lights out for dinner and use the chandeliers and candles that they had for each table. Great area"
