This is a great hotel located in the center of Genoa. You can walk from the train station but if you have luggage, you’ll need a taxi. There are plenty waiting outside.
I really enjoyed this hotel except for the fact that you cannot have use of a steamer should you needed. In addition it would be really more aesthetically pleasing if they would remove the bins in the hallways next to the stairs. It really is unslightly. Even if they put a cover over them. It’s such an elegant building so it’s quite a surprise to see it on every floor. The breakfast is really lovely. Rooms are a nice size and the air-conditioning works brilliantly. The location of this hotel is brilliant for walking to the sites and there are plenty of fantastic restaurants all around.

Overall the staying was ok.
The big issue I found was on the Food and Beverage department.
Went to the lobby/bar and waited for 10-15 minutes and nobody showed up. I found out later by asking that the bar was on the terrace. Went to the bar at the 7th level. Waited for another 15’ and nobody showed up either. I ended up leaving again to get a drink somewhere else outside.
I came back at 22:10 to the restaurant to grab something to eat, the waiter almost refused to let me sit, I then remarked the restaurant (kitchen) was open till 22:30.
I was being served with a terrible attitude from the waiter.
I used the spa, one steam room is not working, wasn’t greeted at the entrance either and I had to figure out things for myself.
For a 5 star hotel there is no excuses to provide for such a terrible service. I expect much more, and this are just the basics things to expect.
