The property is an independent part of a beautiful old beach-front farmhouse, (the other half belonging to Michael's nephew and niece) restored as a seaside holiday home. It has it's own garden area and independent access to the beach. On the ground floor there is a large and beautiful fully equipped kitchen with its pantry and a dining table that seats 14\. A large sitting room with various comfortable armchairs and sofas around a fireplace completes the ground floor. There is also a piano. Upstairs ( the stairs now have a hand-rail for safety) there are four large bedrooms and one large study that doubles as a bedroom as needed. Each room has its own bathroom, the study sharing with the adjacent bedroom. One of the bedrooms is so large that as well as the double bed there is also a double sofa-bed, should it be needed. Outside there is a large stone table under a pergola for al-fresco meals with a view over the beach and sea, as well as a paved area for outdoor furniture (sofas, deck chairs and big shady umbrella ), nice to retire to when the sun on the beach is too strong. On the other side of the house there is a vine pergola for quiet moments away from the beach from which one can listen to the water in the little canal (safely walled in) that runs beside the house and perhaps catch a glimpse of the kingfishers that nest there. A word about children; This is our much-loved home. We ask visitors (specially those with small children!) to be aware of the fact that all the furnishings in the house are either antique or treasured family heirlooms. Due to this we would ask you to carefully consider whether it is prudent to bring many young children to the house! Another fact to consider is that there is a canal running along one side of the house, protected by a low wall. The canal is not deep, but might be worrisome for somebody with a small child. Please take time to consider these facts. Please remember we are in the country, and occasionally you may find geckos and a few harmless insects in the house. Rarely a bat may fly around in the evening, exiting the house after a few moments. These creatures are harmelss, and have the merit of eating mosquitos and other insects. Italian charm with everything you could possibly want being so well equipped. We arrived later than expected even though instructions to find the villa were perfect. Our hosts were there to greet us and showed us were to find everything. Told us where to find the nearest mini market and left us with a bottle of wine – brilliant !! The beds were very comfy with pristine cotton bed linen and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Eating outside with the sound of the sea was wonderful and you hardly saw anyone on the large curving beach. A problem we later had was resolved within the hour and we felt that Conzi was always there should we need her. Genuinely could not wish for more charming hosts. Jahrhundert stammen. Das Haus steht am Rande eines grossen Naturschutzgebietes direkt am Meer. Man kann mit dem Rauschen des Meeres einschlafen und aufwachen und noch vor dem Frühstück im Meer schwimmen gehen. Die Lage ist einzigartig, wie auch das Haus selbst. Man hat den riesigen Strand fast für sich alleine. Im Haus sind alle Räume sehr grosszügig konzipiert, sodass genügend Raum vorhanden ist, um wirklich entspannen zu können. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll und persönlich eingerichtet und hat eine wunderbare Atmosphäre. Das Haus war sauber, die Küche wurde allen Anforderungen gerecht, die Betten hatten nützliche Moskitonetze und es bestand ein guter Kontakt zur Vermieterin, welche spontan auf unsere Anliegen eingegangen ist. Ob eine Küstenwanderung zum Strand Baratti oder ein Besuch der kleinen umliegenden toskanischen Städtchen - Ausflugsmöglichkeiten gibt es deren viele! Ein rundum gelungener Urlaub. Vom ersten Moment an haben wir uns an diesem außergewöhnlich inspirierenden Ort wohlgefühlt. Das Haus ist mit viel Flair für das Schöne und Herz für das Vergangene eingerichtet; hier erzählt jedes Möbelstück eine Geschichte und trägt zur bezaubernden Ausstrahlung des Hauses bei. In der grossen und toll ausgestatteten Wohnküche konnten wir nach Herzenslust gemeinsam kochen und drinnen am langen Holztisch oder im Freien am überdachten Steintisch mit Blick auf Meer und Sternenhimmel essen. Alle Schlafzimmer sind geräumig, die Matratzen sehr angenehm und die Bett- und Frottierwäsche makellos sauber – ebenso wie das ganze Haus. Der Privatzugang zum Meer führt über eine kurze Holztreppe direkt an den langen, schönen Naturstrand. Vielen Dank Consy und Michele für den außerordentlich freundlichen und warmherzigen Empfang. Dieses historische Haus ist für alle, welche gerne die Einsamkeit haben und die Liebe zum Detail schätzen. Das Interieur ist persönlich, liebevoll gepflegt, grosszügig und italienisch. Die Lage ist einfach nur fantastisch und lädt ein, möglichst viel Ferienzeit in und ums Haus zu verbringen. Danke Consy für den wunderbaren Aufenthalt in Eurem einmaligen Ferienhaus. Wir fanden das kunstsinnige und äußerst inspirierende Heim von Michele und Consy an einem der schönsten Plätze der Maremma. Wer Luxus im herkömmlichen Sinn sucht, wer zum Wohlfühlen Menschen, Shops und Restaurants in Sichtweite braucht, wird hier vermutlich nicht glücklich. Wer hingegen außerhalb einer Ortschaft in einem Haus mit viel Charme und Geschichte wohnen möchte, wer die Natur und das Meeresrauschen liebt und gern wandert, ist hier goldrichtig.
