The motel owner (this a motel, not a hotel) called me with his heavy foreign accent and asked me to give him my credit card number over the phone and threatened me with cancelling our reservation that night. I had no idea if the call was legitimate or a scam. I had booked through Expedia and I considered the call to to be a scam and did not give my credit card number. He called me again and this time he was demanding my credit card number. I checked, and his number was not the same number as the motel number listed in my reservation. I hung up and called Expedia who had taken my credit card number to book my reservation. They brokered a phone call with the motel and said the call was legitimate and I would need to provide my card number to them. I said I would, but only until I got there in person, not over the phone. I was forced by the Seaview Inn owner to show up by 6 pm or he would cancel my reservation. I had to cut short our sightseeing fun on our vacation day to prevent this individual from leaving us without a room last minute. I will never stay at this unpleasant place ever again.
By the way, there is no Seaview, you are many miles from the ocean. The motel is kind of pitiful and there were items that belonged in the trash outside of the office (some old chair and a tire). The rooms are small, the towels are old, threadbare and tiny, the bedding was cheap, the mattress was hard and lumpy, the location is unattractive. Overall bad experience. Never again.
