Beautiful room with friendly and wonderful staff. The restaurant in the hotel was pricey but the food was amazing. Location is in a busy area but there’s lots to do all in walking distance. Also There’s nowhere to park, you can only do valet which is just a one-time payment of $28 for your whole stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Hilton Curio in Costa Rica! The staff made us feel welcome and went out of their way to be helpful. A special thank-you to Daniel and Luis, the restaurant team, our bartender, and the front desk staff for their kindness and attentive service. Their hospitality made our visit even more enjoyable, and we’d be happy to stay here again.

We are regular guests at the Gran Hotel Costa Rica—the grande dame of old downtown San Jose. When Hilton Curio took over about 8 years they modernized the property, while still keeping some of the old aesthetics in place. It’s an upscale experience and the Bdeakfast Buffet is amongst the finest I’ve ever had. The gym is also modern and well equipped. Still the best hotel in the downtown area especially for business purposes. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful hotel in a very nice and safe area. I really enjoyed walking around and visiting the shops and museums nearby. I would definitely stay here again when visiting San Jose!

Gran Hotel Costa Rica is a charming hotel with a very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Although, we only stayed one night we were blown away by the charm and local atmosphere. You will be in the heart of San Jose city with green spaces, parks, beautiful people, culture, and historical landmarks like the National Theater of Costa Rica 🇨🇷 right next door. When we come back to San Jose, we'll definitely stay again.

Great stay overall! The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was decent—nothing fancy, but it got the job done. The location is a huge plus, right in the heart of downtown and within walking distance to the market, Chinatown, and tons of great restaurants and cafes and shops. Perfect spot if you want to be close to everything!
