Such an amazing location. A bit noisy but where in the city is not noisy? Rooms are nice and clean. The staff is friendly. Breakfast is better than average.

Such a great, unique place to spend a long weekend in San Francisco. We appreciated the continental breakfast and coffee throughout the day, and the location was a perfect central location for our daily excursions. Would definitely stay there again!

Great location. Lovely hotel, fair pricing. Walked to GC Park, quick Ubers to all other activities. Mediocre free breakfast and happy hour, but it was nice it was offered. Enjoyed very much except the mattress and pillows could use an upgrade.

Loved this so much! From the friendly welcoming staff to the beautiful park across the street this location was the best. Morning breakfast and a wine and cheese happy hour was a delight ! Felt like a warm hug , would love to visit again soon!

Cole Valley location is terrific! Parking lot across Stanyan from the hotel, entrance to Golden Gate Park, with tunnel to Robin Williams meadow across street as well. Nice breakfast. Great older hotel with character. Multiple restaurants within easy walks. You don't even need to visit Haight street which is a couple blocks away!

A charming older hotel. Our room was large enough for a king bed and 2 people. Staff was available and helpful. The hotel is centrally located on on the edge of Golden Gate park. Lots of dining options are nearby. Wi Fi was weak in our room but strong in the lobby. Free breakfast was ok. Wine happy hour was fun.

It was nice that breakfast and afternoon wine were offered. Unfortunately, the quality of the foods was mediocre. I did appreciate the coffee, teas and waters available. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was adequate. Room was carpeted which I don’t like. I prefer clean, mopped hard floors

Great location across from the park (museums, weekend live music, and dog walking) and walking distance to Haight. Also just a few blocks from the “N” train that takes you into downtown on Market. Very nice, chill staff made this a great weekend spot.

Good hotel and we would recommend staying here. The location is really good. Access to Golden Gate Park and other interesting neighborhoods. The staff is excellent. Very welcoming, friendly and accomodating. The breakfast is decent and the wine hour is very nice. The outside, lobby and common areas are very well maintained. It is a beautiful historic hotel with a great staff. The rooms could use an upgrade considering the price. Overall, it is a very good hotel with a great staff and we would recommend staying there.

The Stanyan is amazing, the staff is friendly, and it's an amazing stay, no matter why you are in town. If you are looking for a "pure SF" stay and a quiet walk to the park gardens, this is your place :)
