    Welcome to Mermaid Crossing, a beautifully remodeled 9th-floor oceanfront 1-bedroom condo at Capri by the Sea—the only oceanfront high-rise in Pacific Beach. With floor-to-ceiling windows, glass railings, and unobstructed Pacific views, this home delivers a true front-row seat to San Diego’s coastline.



    Completed in 2020, the designer-led remodel features a modern coastal aesthetic with quartz waterfall countertops, stainless steel appliances, driftwood-style flooring, mirrored accents, ceiling beams, and a rock wall with an electric mood fireplace. The open living space includes a 65” Smart TV, ceiling fan, and a desk that converts into a queen Murphy bed with ocean views. A high-end queen sleeper sofa provides additional sleeping space.



    The bedroom offers a luxury king mattress, 55” Smart TV, and ceiling fan for comfort. The fully equipped kitchen includes seating for five and stunning ocean views—perfect for dining in while watching the waves. The condo comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests.

Mermaid Crossing is very comfortable and relaxing while watching sunsets, surfers, kite surfers and people on the beach. The decor is beach and the location is perfect for walking, biking and access to local restaurants. The amenities are fully stocked not just minimal.

Mermaid Crossing is a beautiful space with stunning views of the ocean. We got to see gorgeous sunsets and dolphins every morning. The condo itself is well stocked with amenities and very clean. It's located right on the boardwalk so there are plenty of places to eat & shop. Property management was very communicative and responsive. We would definitely stay again!

San Diego Get Away.

We spent 4 nights there. The location was perfect.The view of the ocean from our room was beautiful.We took advantage of the beach access every day.Also took in some activities in and around San Diego Bay.The room was just as advertised. Very happy with our time there.

The view and location on Pacific Beach was absolutely perfect. The condo didn’t feel too small with a decent bedroom and quality Murphy bed and sleeper sofa to fit our family of four. The kitchen was stocked with everything and more to cook when we wanted. The communication is above and beyond including calls ahead of the trip to answer any questions I had. Walk to the beach was right down the path with plenty of beach toys for the kids to enjoy and chairs for us. We would definitely come back to stay in this same condo.The only negative would be the walk to the pool - it’s not connected to the condo building and a walk. Not a huge deal in San Diego weather but wasn’t used to a pool not being connected to a condo building. Have to be prepared to pack up everything you might need to avoid trips back and forth

End of summer getaway

It was a lovely condo. Everything was clean and convenient. We appreciated all of the beach gear and extra linen that was accessible. Definitely one of the nicer rental units in the building!

Beautiful View

We really enjoyed being right on the beach as the children went down every morning to play. Watching the surfers throughout the morning/evening was also fun. It was a great location with regard to all the things we wanted to do in San Diego, Coronado, and La Jolla.

Awesome view

This is the second visit to this unit. it was just right for us. A gorgeous view and access to the beach. Good food nearby. And a massage therapist within a couple of blocks.

Perfect get away

My husband and I stayed here for our baby moon for a long weekend and enjoyed every minute. It is so close to everything in San Diego but we found it hard to leave due to the views. There are so many tasty restaurants and coffee shops near by. The condo is exactly as described and the view is even better. Also a perk was the beach and boardwalk right outside the building. Could not have been more perfect.

Spectacular Property

My wife and I had an amazing stay at this property. We booked last minute after we had gotten to San Diego and our other arrangements fell apart. Everything about this property was great. The view of the ocean from the unit is wonderful. We enjoyed watching the surfers all day long as well as the fun owners were having with their dogs on the beach. The condo is very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The free coffee pods were very much appreciated. The check-in process was easy. The Sound Of Ocean

Such a beautiful place to stay! My husband and 3 boys and I enjoyed our time immensely. Boys enjoyed boogie boarding each day and the view of the water/beach was breath-taking. Well-appointed kitchen, plenty of bathroom towels and beach towels for a family of 5 to use for 5 days. We plan to return!

What you see is what you get, and then some!

We had a 5 night stay and this property did not disappoint! The views were amazing and the perfect distance from downtown SD and La Jolla. The unit is fully equipped with everything you need, including beach gear. This is quite possibly the most comfortable bed I've had in a VRBO to date. Security was on site 24/7 and we felt very safe at this location with the key fob only access. We can't wait to visit again!

Condo on the beach

We loved staying at Mermaid Crossing. The location is wonderful; the view is extraordinary. We walked to great spots to eat and loved the dog-friendliness of the community. The condo itself was comfortable and clean, with everything we needed. We loved using the Murphy bed, so we went to sleep and woke up looking at the ocean. Watching those surfers never got old. We would definitely stay here again!

Our Beach Condo

Okay let me start out with this is only the second review I have ever taken the time to write I was so pleased with the whole experience that it deserves a great review. So I gave it the name, Our Beach Condo! My family and I found a place that we all love so much. The combination of safety, location and the views especially and overall enjoyment made our vacation truly special and fulfilled with great memories don’t think we will go back unless we can stay here again if we can get this room then most definitely will be back!!

I don’t normally leave reviews, but I just wanted to come back here and say that the pictures are as good as they are in real life. I wasn’t sure if it was gonna be as nice as the pictures looked and it absolutely was. The view is phenomenal.. I will be buying a bidet now as well. I would definitely come back!

Location, location, location!

What a GORGEOUS condo with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. Beachfront location cannot be beat. We loved falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean waves. Convenient path made for easy beach access. Beds were so comfortable, we felt like we were laying on clouds after full days of sightseeing and sunbathing. Never expected a Murphy bed to be so soft and cozy!Kitchen was fully stocked, and open layout was perfect for our family. Heated pool and relaxing hot tub right around the corner open til 10pm! Great way to end the night. We could walk or bike to a ton of shops and restaurants. Loved this beach town. Couldn't have been happier with our stay in Capri by the Sea in Pacific Beach!
