This luxury home has been completely re-done and is absolutely stunning from the front yard/patio area to the dual shower heads in the Master bathroom. From the original wood floors that have been refinished, to the custom dining table and beautiful kitchen and bathrooms, this house is going to be the perfect place for you to stay while enjoying everything that San Diego has to offer! The Space: This beautiful South Park retreat has been fully remodeled from top to bottom in en-vouge style and has a beautiful bohemian spirit you can feel as soon as you walk through the door. From the generous bedrooms and gourmet kitchen to the luxurious bathrooms and sunny patio, your next getaway, work trip, or family vacation will be one to remember. The living room is the heart of the home, filled with natural light from the gorgeous bay window. Here, you can relax and unwind on the soft leather lounge, stream a movie with access to streaming apps on the smart TV, or read a book by the window with a warm cup of coffee. Stock up on supplies at Target, which is only an 8-minute walk away, and then cook up all your family favorites in the modern, galley-style kitchen, which is fully equipped with everything you could need. We really enjoyed our stay in San Diego at the Ivy St. property. After staying in hotels on our trip down the CA coast, it was wonderful to stay in a completely updated house in the heart of San Diego. The home is located adjacent to Balboa Park and in walking distance to great coffee shops and restaurants. It was an easy drive the San Diego beaches as well. Our host did an excellent job communicating with us and making sure we had all we needed to enjoy our stay. We highly recommend this VRBO if you ar planning a visit to SD! ##### Evan A. The entire house was clean and bright. The beds were comfortable and plenty of towels, dishes, etc. The house is located just a block away from Balboa park and is within walking distance to restaurants and boutique shops. The neighborhood was quiet and well established with nice neighbors. An evening in the courtyard was a perfect way to end the day. We had a wonderful, relaxing time here and would stay again. The simple, Scandi-designed interior added to the charm of the 1937 home. There was plenty of space for my family of six. The location was also walking distances to trails, restaurants, and shops. My family had an exceptional time at the Ivy House. We carefully reviewed houses on VRBO and found this perfect location. In the description, they detail the cleaning protocols and we felt comfortable making the reservation. When we arrived the house smelled and looked clean however when I opened the cabinet in the kitchen, one glass had lipstick and another had a sticky substance and a hair on the outside of the glass. I quickly hand washed and placed all the dishes in the cabinet into the dishwasher. I also found a fork in the drawer that still had food on it. I understand this may not have been the cleaning crew but perhaps a prior guest. Given the promise of a clean house and the detailed cleaning protocols , I did have to reduce by one star. The house is exactly as picture. For a family of four (2 adults and 2 young children) this house felt like home. We only used 2 of the 3 bedrooms and there was plenty of space. The front courtyard is nice area for the kids to play while we could keep an eye on them from inside the house. Would we stay again? ABSOLUTELY!!! This is an awesome house and it met all our needs. It is spacious and is in a great neighborhood. Cute restaurants are within walking distance. We did visit the San Diego Zoo and this house is extremely close. The dirty dishes was a minor issue that was easily be resolved. Washing the dishes myself helped my reassurance that the dishes were clean. ##### Amber G. Stayed 4 nights in Oct 2021 ---
