The only thing I would change is the addition of a water kettle and/our a coffee maker in the room. For early risers it is impossible to get coffee until the restaurant opens for breakfast

Don’t know how this is a five star hotel.. You could hear every word the people were saying in the room next to you there were gaps in the doors. My toilet fell off the floor. I could go on and on, but the staff was really really nice.

The only report my husband has ever liked
This place is magical! The views are breathtaking. There’s also a lot to do with walking distance (we survived without a car). The boat tours are right nearby and there are a lot of nice hikes. The hotel also has a marina with kayaks and canoes. The archery class was a lot of fun and it’s the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Can’t say enough good things about this place!!

This property is absolutely beautiful and it’s location is magnificent! The rooms though need renovation, they are a outdated. The breakfast was excellent. The menu on both of the restaurants are some what limited but good. We did not use the spa, so no comments about that. Overall the place is very good and worth the trip!

Conocer la Historia de este grandioso hotel y disfrutarlo es una experiencia unica. Caminar por cada rincon de el es increible. Overall, a great stay, despite some flaws
Overall, an incredible stay. We had a room in the old wing which frankly are very, very tired and in DESPERATE need of a refresh; however, it was still a great stay - the setting is just fantastic, staff were great, as were the food and drinks + lots of extras included like bikes and kayaks to take out. The spa was great - fantastic massage! And the pool was lovely and warm (indoors and outdoors)

The original Hotel (what we now call Ala Bustillo, where you stayed) was inaugurated in 1938. It caught fire a year later, it was rebuilt and operated until 1978, when it closed its doors until 1992 to be reopened in 1993. In 2007, the Moreno Wing was added to the historical structure, with 43 contemporary-style Studios and Suites.In recent months we have completed the comprehensive renovation of the first stage (41 rooms) of the Bustillo Wing. And so we will continue until completing the totality. Both the soundproofing and the air conditioning control of the rooms will be 100%.We appreciate your kind words regarding our service, meals and activities.It will always be our pleasure to be your host!

I ordered room service and I had food poison. I was sick for 2 days. From desk service are rude and arrogant. I travelled with my family, 2 rooms. These 2 rooms were in different floors, I requested from desk if he can accommodate us closer with no success. They mentioned I can write a note to complain for future bookings. Not going back to this Hotel, there a lot of great hotels in the area. I had great expectation when I read reviews, it is a landmark but pack with people, better stay in other hotels in the area.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the food poisoning. We do offer medical attention in-house. And the doctor takes samples to analyze in the lab in order to know what was the cause.Many times gastroenteritis occurs up to 72 hours after ingestion of contaminated food or water. There have been no similar cases during your stay. We have a record of each service and each dish, and we have not received comments of this nature. We do not minimize the discomfort that this situation caused and we empathize with you. We are sorry. As for the lack of attention from our desk staff, we strive to provide the best possible experience for all of our guests, and it appears we fell short in your case. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future. Best regards.

Not Worth the Cost - In Need of MAJOR Upgrades
This was a very disappointing stay in an otherwise lovely town surrounded by beautiful scenery. This hotel is simply not worth the exorbitant cost compared to other lodging options. The hotel is run down and in need of major upgrades. The decor in the rooms is truly sad, old, dingy, and lacking any charm. I uploaded photos from the room of the old quilted, floral upholstery and the view of the dirt from the nearly underground first-level rooms. The toilet in the room did not flush properly, there was no air conditioning and no coffee maker, and the WIFI was very poor quality that did not allow streaming. The bed sheets and pillows were terrible quality, rough and uncomfortable. The cost of everything at the hotel is absurdly overpriced for Argentina - a glass of wine nearly ten dollars at the blue rate, so twice that in local exchange rates. It was a real disappointment for a place I've heard such great things about, but I think people should know what they are paying for, and this hotel is just not worth its price and needs some very desperate upgrades to match the beauty surrounding it.

In order to meet the needs of those seeking spacious and modern rooms, we have built the Moreno wing, 43 studios, and suites, preserving the style that characterizes us. It would have been the right choice for you. We regret having failed in the proposal at the time of the reservation. You would have had a whole other experience. Terrace overlooking Lake Moreno, air conditioning, you would have been very comfortable. And for guests who prefer classical style, we offer the rooms of the Ala Bustillo, where you stayed. We are aware of the continuous need for updating and we have just ended the stage 1 of the comprehensive renovation of 41 of the 162 rooms of the Ala Bustillo. They are not just aesthetically lavish, but the whole technological structure is at the forefront of technology. We do not want you to be left with this terrible perception and we would love for you to give us a chance to reverse the experience in the renovated rooms of Bustillo or in the Moreno Wing. We thank you for your remarks and your time, and we look forward to another opportunity.We put a lot of effort into providing the best of experiences, and it seems we failed as per your words.Again, the only way to improve is by knowing what has happened, so that no guest or visitor gets an unwished experience.Thank you again.

Beautiful hotel in beautiful grounds let down by service which isn't fitting of a 5 star hotel. Recently renovated room had broken air conditioning unit and the room servicing wasn't as neat as I would expect. The front door men never greeted us upon arrival not did they offer to help with carrying luggage down the stairs. For the cost of this hotel simple improvements would genuinely make this a 5 star hotel in an incredible location. Also a suggestion for the hotel to offer a whole property map so that it is obvious that there are lounge chairs by the lake rather than us stumbling across these.

Ambos están unidos por un puente panorámico.De ningún modo minimizamos la influencia de la habitación en la experiencia Llao Llao. Es por ello que acabamos de terminar la etapa uno de la renovación integral de las habitaciones del Ala Bustillo -que elegiste en esta oportunidad-.No solamente estamos renovando el interiorismo sino estamos incorporando Aire acondicionado, una obra tan compleja en un edificio histórico.Nos apena no hayas disfrutado como nos hubiera gustado. Por esto te sugerimos, si nos honrás con una próxima visita, dejarnos saber tus prioridades en cuanto a tamaño y vista para poder ofrecerte una categoría acorde.Hasta pronto!

Fraudulent booking
The hotel is a bit run down. No water, towels, coffee upon arrival. Housekeeping apologized after room looked as though it had not been made up from prior guest. However, the real problem was that the hotels.com reservation price was not adhered to by the hotel and the resort fee and taxes that were to be included in the pricing were not. We paid $100 USD more than the original booking.

No A/C in rooms! What?
I can't believe this hotel Does not have air conditioning in the rooms...the area and hotel are BEAUTIFUL but when you try to sleep with 85 degrees and they offer you a fan! That really SUCKS Also be aware if you pay cash They will CHARGE you 4% What? Very disappointed

Thank you for your time, Mauricio. Llao Llao is an icon of the Argentinean hospitality. The historical Building -Bustillo Wing- was built in 1938. As a matter of fact, winters were extremely cold and summers were mild. As years went by, the climate changed and the heat started long before summer with higher temperatures. Llao Llao is a proud landmark, and adding Air Conditioning was a major challenge. Projects were turned down on and on, and finally, an integral renovation is taking place in 41 of the 162 Bustillo's rooms -the first of four stages-. Anyhow, your stay took place already so this renewal wouldn´t have done any difference this time. We understand the room you stayed in at Bustillo Wing did not meet your expectations. We regret you did not choose a room of the Moreno Wing, suites and studios of contemporary design, high end, air conditioning, and frank lake view terrace. It would have, no doubt, pleased you. Thank you for your words, and for choosing us. We hope you will give us a second chance.

Heaven on Earth
Heaven on Earth. I absolutely loved this resort. The property and views are drop dead gorgeous. I love that the resort has an amazing pool, a private lake, tons of activities and amazing food. It truly was Heaven on Earth for me. I would highly recommend it for couples, families or friends. I promise you will leave happy. There really is no need to leave the resort.

Luxurious Lodge
The location of this hotel is amazingly scenic. The decor reminded us of an upscale hunting lodge. Our rooms were on the small side but comfortable. The buffet breakfast offered hot and cold choices and included an omelet station. We enjoyed several spa treatments and agreed the facials and massages were some of the best ever Cristian, the concierge, was extremely helpful and courteous before and during our stay. It was such a pleasure working with him! However, we did have a confrontation with a staff member at the pool. We approached Estefan and told him that the Jacuzzi was too cold and he responded to us by saying that he didn't understand English. We then had one of our group speak to him in Spanish regarding the temperature of the pool and he responded to her by saying, "Just get in, it is 38 degrees". His manner was extremely rude. When his assistant checked the water temperature it registered at 30 degrees and took two hours to warm to 34 degrees. He did not feel it was necessary to apologize to us and if he had done so I would not be writing this comment.
