Lack of air conditioning on hot Salzburg nights we encountered was a bit of an issue and the location did require some walking to get to the old city center (which would not have been an issue if the temperature was not >30 degrees of celsius). Iris and Alex are wonderful hosts, and made us feel welcome during our 10 day stay. The property is what I would call “cozy/modern” decorated with unique original artwork. Rooms are very well-maintained and clean, and the surrounding area is quiet. Best of all, Alex and Iris serve up an incredible breakfast with an impressive assortment of breads, pastries, cheeses, meats, fruit, and yogurt - much of which is locally sourced. If that’s not enough, you can opt for eggs cooked to order from locally raised hens. The B&B is located in a quiet part of Salzburg. The accommodation has a spacious parking lot on its grounds. We had grapes and water in the room as a welcome gift. We were very pleased with that. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had a sufficient number of towels. The communication with the accommodation is excellent. The owner is absolutely wonderful, funny, he prepares eggs to order for breakfast and it is obvious that he enjoys this job. Staying in this B&B was an amazing experience.
