Room was perfect for my needs as a solo traveller and I felt very safe my whole stay. The room and bathroom were modern, in like-new condition, and I especially liked the addition of an AC unit. The breakfast area inside and outside were lovely, and the breakfast was good with many options. It is a 15-20 minute walk to city-center in a beautiful, safe area. The lady at the front desk who checked us in was a bit gruff and caustic, however maybe that's just the culture. Parking was not included in the hotel stay, and the receptionist made sure I was aware of that. She said I could park on the street for free, but I ended up with a 30€ parking ticket. I'll pay the ticket but that did not make me too happy. For that she gets 3 stars for staff instead of 5\. When you call housekeeping to clean the room - they just mopped th floor - did not replenish any toileteries. Had to call lagain for that. The receptionist is present just for the sake of it. We asked him specifically if parking was free considering it was a weekend - Salzburg does have free parking as we later found - he said no and charged us for the whole weekend - what a crook. Also asked him about a few things related to stuff around the city - and he had no clue. Being in this industry - one expects to know the basics. I would stay away from this hotel.
