"We were locked in the elevator had to call 911. Then the front door broke and no guests could get in or out. Then the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. When I called customer service to seek some compensation they attempted to tell me that it wasn’t their responsibility that the elevator in the hotel broke and the emergency call button wasn’t working. "We ended our 2 week road trying on Ring Road here. We wanted a warm place to come back to after going to the Blue Lagoon. My boyfriend took a shower and neither drain worked. The bathroom completely flooded and went into the carpet of the main room. We ended up cleaning it ourselves and asked to move to a different room but all were booked. "I did not get my check in instructions ahead of time and was locked out on the first night. I had to pay 244 euros for a hotel. Neither summer day nor Expedia would refund me. Fraud as they blamed each other. The internet did not work in my room and the person who responded could only say “good luck”. Horrible place to stay. Would not recommend either summer day or Expedia. "
