"We arrived after 9 pm so had to use automatic checking. Had to call for reservation number. Not interested number. Air conditioning did not work. Long hot night with little sleep. More of a motel than hotel"

"Le personnel d’accueil n’est pas avenant ni sympathique et la chambre ressemble à celles des chaînes d’hôtel mais le lit est confortable et l’environnement calme."

"Absolute dump, have to go to different hotel for key. Took one look at room and threw the key in the room without setting foot inside and ran away as fast as possible. CLOSE THIS DUMP DOWN "

"Hello,
What we liked the most at this hotel was the staff. Namely, a wonderful lady by the name Veronica. She demonstrated great competence, professionalism, and commitment to take care of us as guests. Her interpersonal skills were outstanding and her strong ability to be patient and address our concerns were fantastic. Veronica definitely made us want to come to this hotel in the future.
Many thanks Veronica and Ibis Staff.

"B&B in a very quiet rural location with a lovely friendly host. Our room was spacious, light and airy with good wifi Very comfortable bed with quality bedding and towels.
A traditional breakfast with lots of home made preserves and fresh apple juice.
No resaurants nearby, so we brought prvisions for our evening meal. We loved the three donkeys in the field opposite, the great views and the stunning sunset."

Nice place to stay for our stop over as part of a longer trip. Pool was a bonus for the kids.
A bit out of it location wise but we didn’t mind.
I asked for code rooms and we ended up on different floors which was frustrating but was ok.

The hotel is an old fashioned motel style low rise block with room doors giving into the car park, a grassed area or a walkway. It was very clean, the air con worked well, the bed was comfortable, the shower was decent and it was very quiet.
The manager gave us a room giving onto a grassy area in the shade as he knew we were travelling with a dog. In the evening we popped into his bar area and were served decent wine. We decided to stay for dinner which was simple home style french cooking,...

Lovely hotel, great parking access (even with our camper van). Was disappointing that the restaurant wasn't open as we didn't realise this when booking.

Basic clean room. Ideal location. Perhaps some bottled water would be nice. There are tea making facilities.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely building and we had a really excellent dinner - the catering team was changing so they weren't on their new menu yet so what we had was effectively a one-off. Lots of attention from the chap who was taking over the running of the kitchen.
We had an automatic email from the property saying we had pre-payed but when we checked out we were told we hadn't. That caused some confusion especially as the man at checkout kept referring to our Expedia booking - I know Hotels.com is part to Expedia...

We just had a short stop-over on a road trip and the room was nice, clean and comfortable. The kitchenette is basic but clean and has all of the necessities. For the price, it was much nicer than we expected. The bathroom was roomy and it had a great shower. It's located near the best area for shopping and charming streets and places to eat. There is a small outside area with tables and grass, as well.

What is the best area to stay in Sainte-Colombe-En-Bruilhois?
The best area to stay in Sainte-Colombe-En-Bruilhois is the village centre itself, particularly around the church and mairie (town hall).
This small, traditional village is located in the heart of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, offering a genuine rural French experience. The main street, Rue du Bruilhois, runs through the village, connecting the church square with local amenities. You'll find a few local shops and a restaurant within easy walking distance. The village is surrounded by rolling countryside, vineyards, and plum orchards.
Couples looking for a quiet and relaxing escape will find the village centre perfect. It provides a tranquil base for exploring the local area, enjoying walks through the countryside, and experiencing authentic village life away from tourist crowds. The emphasis here is on peaceful surroundings and local charm.
For families, particularly those with younger children, staying in a gîte or country house just outside the village centre offers more space and privacy. These properties often come with private gardens and sometimes a pool, providing a comfortable base for a longer stay.
When is the best time to go to Sainte-Colombe-En-Bruilhois?
The best time to visit Sainte-Colombe-En-Bruilhois is during the late spring and early autumn months, specifically May, June, September, and early October.
These periods offer the most pleasant weather for exploring the region. You'll find warm, sunny days superb for outdoor activities without the intense heat of mid-summer. The countryside is at its most beautiful, with blooming flowers in spring and rich autumnal colours later in the year.
For couples looking for a romantic getaway, these months provide an ideal setting for enjoying leisurely meals al fresco, exploring local markets, and visiting nearby vineyards. The quieter atmosphere outside of peak summer makes for a more relaxed and intimate experience.
Families travelling with children will also find these times advantageous. The milder temperatures are more comfortable for children, whether you're cycling along the Canal de Garonne or visiting nearby châteaux.
