The gardens are in full bloom, making for particularly scenic walks.September also provides lovely weather with fewer tourists than the peak summer months of July and August. You'll find it easier to book tables at restaurants and enjoy the local produce. While July and August are the warmest months, they are also the busiest. If you plan to visit then, booking accommodation and tours well in advance is essential.
