"Overall, this location is great--close to Anderson and Hartwell (both 20 min), which makes travel for a night out very easy. The dock is great and the covered boat slip was awesome! The current water level and the neighbor's dock placement (neither of which is the host's fault) made getting in and out of the slip a little challenging, but the water in the cove is lovely and was deep enough to float off the dock. There is very minimal boat traffic in the coves near the house (a big plus). Our dog loved the gradual entry off the point to play fetch! There is also a nice outdoor fenced area that has shade and was good for our dog.The kitchen is average size and well stocked for cooking. Although I knew the house was on the smaller side, the biggest issue is the size of the showers in both bathrooms. The showers are both very small and somewhat dark. There is no closet in 2 of the 3 bedrooms. Storage space is minimal. The beds were comfy!While the outdoor space seems expansive (very nice green space), there is no deck and the patio area is not directly accessible from the living room/kitchen area. We spent most of our outdoor time on the dock or our boat.For a rental, basic upkeep needs to improve. The gate is broken and some bumpers in the boat slip need repair. The outdoor table was filthy, and some kitchen shelves were sticky (both of which we cleaned). The front door really needs to open out instead of in to increase space in the entry."
