Delight on the Dock at the Edgewater Inn on Lake Hartwell

"Overall, this location is great--close to Anderson and Hartwell (both 20 min), which makes travel for a night out very easy. The dock is great and the covered boat slip was awesome! The current water level and the neighbor's dock placement (neither of which is the host's fault) made getting in and out of the slip a little challenging, but the water in the cove is lovely and was deep enough to float off the dock. There is very minimal boat traffic in the coves near the house (a big plus). Our dog loved the gradual entry off the point to play fetch! There is also a nice outdoor fenced area that has shade and was good for our dog.The kitchen is average size and well stocked for cooking. Although I knew the house was on the smaller side, the biggest issue is the size of the showers in both bathrooms. The showers are both very small and somewhat dark. There is no closet in 2 of the 3 bedrooms. Storage space is minimal. The beds were comfy!While the outdoor space seems expansive (very nice green space), there is no deck and the patio area is not directly accessible from the living room/kitchen area. We spent most of our outdoor time on the dock or our boat.For a rental, basic upkeep needs to improve. The gate is broken and some bumpers in the boat slip need repair. The outdoor table was filthy, and some kitchen shelves were sticky (both of which we cleaned). The front door really needs to open out instead of in to increase space in the entry."

"Attending a family reunion in area. This place was just what we needed. Easy to find. Easy check-in. Home was clean and comfortable. Rain the whole time there, but we were able to invite family to spend the day, or two, at the rental. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy each other's company. Screened porch was nice to enjoy the outdoors without the rain. We really enjoyed the rental and family said it was an amazing place. Will rent again"

Lake Hartwell water front with private dock, sleeps 15

"Place lives up to the pictures and is extremely well equipped. Even the kitchen knives were sharp and useable. Lake is down but the water was deep around the dock. Took my son and a few of his high school friends and they had a blast. They were entertained between the putting geeen, toys on the dock, and fishing. At night they had the upstairs and they never disturbed me downstairs. Will definitely return."

"Such a great place for us, our little kids, and our small dog! Dani & Jeff were great communicators and so helpful and welcoming to our crew. We loved that there was gradual-entry to the water as well as the dock. It’s on a quiet, clean inlet. And their restaurant suggestions were great! Easy to get into town for supplies, but far enough out to enjoy peace (and crickets frogs!). A lovely little retreat!"

"We traveled with grandparents, children and older teens. House was huge with lots of places for everyone to find their own space. The kitchen has every appliance, cookware and utensil you could possibly need (and much more!) There are tons of games to play and this is the ultimate house for hide-and-seek!Beds were all very comfy! The water pressure on the bottom floor was hit and miss, but nothing we couldn’t live with. The lake was low so we weren’t able to kayak, but there were plenty of places to explore outside. At one point there were over 20 deer out back!The fire pit was perfect for cooler nights with s’mores!Target and Walmart both deliver groceries to this location which added convenience. Overall wonderful trip! "
