View from the city of Tbilisi. The Georgian capital of Tbilisi used to be home to an intricate system of aerial trams, that whisked people from lower elevations to the various hilltops around the city. Most of these trams fell into disrepair following the collapse of the Soviet Union. One of these old tram stations recently re-opened. This tram connects Vake Park with the small Turtle Lake, which is located on a hillside above. While I don't know much about architecture, I believe that this building is one of the few and dwindling examples of Art Nouveau architecture that remain in Tbilisi. The top of this building features a date of 1912, and there's a number of frescoes and interesting masonry work on the outside. The building literally looks like it is rusting away.
