After some discussion with the receptionist — who was not helpful at all — we were told to contact Expedia ourselves to resolve the issue and find another place to stay for the night. We ended up calling Expedia five times, navigating endless automated menus before finally reaching a real person. In the end, we had to find a new place to stay late at night on our own. Although I received a refund after four days, I would never book with Expedia again. It cost me a lot of time and energy to fix their mistake."
