Puerto Del Sol Beach Resort

8/10 Good

"Relaxing place to stay"

Oldwoods by the Sea Nature Resort Bani Pangasinan

8/10 Good

"The whole facility and staff were accommodating, friendly, and had a superb customer service experience; however, the room itself had many flaws. The wood floor was a big crack and when you step on it, you felt you were going to sink or your foot might get caught. The bathroom shower head was like 75% clogged from calcium residue, the bedroom ceiling looked like molds started forming."

Casa Almarenzo Bed & Breakfast

8/10 Good

"The place is nice but the downside is the shower area is clogged the whole time and I saw a roach in the bathroom. They need to maintain the cleanliness of the place. Good breakfast though it would be nice if they offer more variety. Good place to hang out with good amenities like pool table and karaoke. The pool is nice and clean."

Bolo Hills Beach Club

10/10 Excellent

"I’ll start by saying that Bolo Hills Beach Club may not be the cheapest beachfront option, but I would absolutely stay here again. For me, it came down to two things: the view and the hospitality. The beachfront setting is beautiful, but what really made the stay memorable was Greg, the owner, and his wonderful staff. They made everything feel personal without ever being intrusive. By the end of my stay, I realized that I will probably judge other boutique resorts by the standard they set here. Want a custom dinner on the beach beside a fire pit? Done. Need something that isn’t available at the resort? The staff will go into town and get it for you. Have a special request? They genuinely seem happy to figure out how to make it happen. Greg told me his goal is for every guest to leave with a smile. I can attest that I did. There are plenty of places where you can pay for a nice room and a beachfront view. What separates Bolo Hills Beach Club is the feeling that the people running it actually care whether you are enjoying your stay. I’m writing this review almost immediately after Expedia gave me the opportunity, which probably says more than anything else. Beautiful location, exceptional hospitality, and a place I would happily return to."

PROXY Plus by The Oriental Pangasinan

10/10 Excellent

"Location of the hotel is just a walking distance to the Hundred Islands wharf area. The breakfast is good. The staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Pillows are huge and bed is comfortable. The only problem we encountered was that the hot water was so hard to control the heat. There were tiny ants on top of the table. They have a “no stain” policy on their bedsheet, pillow, towel, or you’ll be charged with a fine. Spa massage was good. Rose gave us an excellent massage."

"Absolutely wonderful stay! The resort exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The accommodations were beautiful, clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. Everything was well organized, and we truly felt taken care of. The amenities and overall experience were excellent. We had such a memorable and enjoyable time and would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. We would happily stay here again!"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Roxas?

The best areas to stay in Roxas are generally along the coast, particularly near Baybay Beach, for its scenic views and access to seafood restaurants.

Baybay Beach is the most well-known area, stretching several kilometres along the coastline. It's famous for its black sand and is a popular spot for locals and visitors to relax and enjoy the sea breeze. The area is dotted with open-air seafood restaurants, often called "dampa-style," where you can choose fresh catch and have it cooked to your liking. It's a relaxed setting, superb for enjoying sunsets.

For couples looking for a tranquil escape, staying in a resort along Baybay Beach offers direct access to the shore and a peaceful atmosphere. Many resorts provide amenities like swimming pools and dining options, allowing for a comfortable and private experience. The proximity to the seafood eateries also means romantic dinners with fresh local produce are readily available.

Travellers who prefer to be closer to the town centre for easier access to shops and local markets might consider accommodations a little further inland but still a short drive from Baybay Beach.

When is the best time to go to Roxas?

The best time to visit Roxas, Ilocos Region, is during the dry season, which runs from November to April.

During these months, you'll experience pleasant weather with less humidity and minimal rainfall, making it ideal for exploring the region's attractions. This period also generally has cooler temperatures compared to the hot and humid summer months.

For those looking for a stress-free trip with optimal conditions for sightseeing and relaxation, planning your visit between November and April is highly recommended.
