I was a little worried after reading the reviews, when I booked this place in the summer of 2022. But it's a half igloo, it's expensive, but I couldn't wait to give it a try.
Yes it is expensive, but I wish we had stayed two nights instead of just one. The 'igloo' part of the 'house' is rather small but enough. The bed there is for two, plenty of space. And then there's another room for the other two with a small window. Then there's a shower/bath and closet. It's cozy and warm. We didn't see the northern lights though, it was cloudy the whole time. But it's ok. It's still pretty at night when all the lights are off.
The location is very close to the Santa Claus Holiday Village, but you'd still want to take taxi because you wouldn't want to walk that far with your luggage in the snow.
Our reception was EXCELLENT. We were able to check in two hours early! The lady was super nice! There was a cute added two gnomes as a gift. They helped us with our luggage so we don't have to pull them in the snow to our 'room' which is like a duplex but you don't hear the neighbor at all.
Service was great, no phones but they respond with the iPad given in the room. We wanted a taxi to go into town and the taxi came very quickly.
Breakfast in the morning was also wonderful, plentiful, and delicious and not crowded at all.
I would stay here again, but more than just one night, hopefully get it on sale! :)
