The house itself is perfect for families with toddlers, as it isn’t filled with nick-nacks or other sharpe objects. And the children’s rooms were great with block out blinds for day naps. We were out doing activities in the daytime - it's an easy enough journey into Rotorua for these, and close to Skyline and a few other attractions. Had all we needed for our stay - good kitchen amenities, and washer and dryer in garage. It felt like our stay was right on the back of another group, andthe cleaners didn't do a proper job. There were a lot of cobwebs in the rooms, dirty linen in the closet of one bedroom and a dirty pillow case in the bathtub. There was no dishwashing liquid and only two toilet rolls to be found. The recycling bin was full and the rubbish not far from it. The property would also benefit from a bit of TLC. The pots and pans were below standard - badly scratched nonstick pans, or the pans that weren't nonstick being clearly misused and burnt to the point where you will never get them clean. Only one half of the BBQ would light, it didn't even seem that gas was flowing on the grill side. Not that it made any difference - it was so filthy that I wouldn't have dreamed of cooking on it. The deck was rotten in places and the outdoor furniture needs a clean, if not replacing. It is also worth noting that water quality in the lake should be checked if you think you might enjoy a swim in the lake. No one's fault, but our visit was timed with toxic algal blooms in the lake. ##### Andrew C.
