"Really simplistic room done well. Some lovely little features like an ironing board tucked into the drawers, a little fridge too! The pillows were to die for and bed was comfy. Shower could do with being more powerful but that's just a personal preference. Lovely little stay in the heart of the city"

"The hotel was clean, but the bathroom was small. The shower in our room didn't drain properly so you were standing in tray full of water as you showered. It took about 10 mins after finishing to drain away. The breakfast was OK but not really worth the £17 if you hadn't booked in advance. On the plus side the staff were friendly and helpful and we had a good sleep."

"You certainly get what you pay for. Great access from the M1 with plenty of services in the vicinity, central to many places of interest. The pool was great, nice temperature with hot tub, sauna and steam room, no restriction on length of time during our stay and their open hours. We spent 2 hours in the morning swimming and pampering before breakfast which was lush. The only fault I could find was that although the rooms are nice and they are clean, the walls were thin and every noise from the corridor comes through the door. Would definitely stay again though and conside rtheir breakfast despite it's cost. Oh and did I forget to mention it is free parking too."

"Good budget hotel with good size rooms. The bathroom is also roomy with a large shower . This is essentially a business hotel but contains a sofa bed as well as the double , it has a desk and a comfortable office chair the room had easy access tp two lifts . The staff are helpful and friendly the dining and seating areas are near reception which is clean and has plenty of light . The breakfast was buffet and very good ,they also have a dining menu which we did not use . The hotel has good WiFi and free parking . The location was also good 5-6 miles from Barnsley ,with a supermarket opposite and easy access to low cost restaurants and fast food outlets . The hotel is also very close to a country park . A few niggly problems ,our last stay at a different Holiday Inn the sink had no plug ,this one had one but it was broken . There was a problem with the electrical socket but we were moved to a different room . Also found the air condition a little noisy at night . Yes we liked this hotel"
