Ross Bay

The staff were lovely, when we asked for extra towels and toilet roll they were able to provide it, although it did take a couple of hours. There were no bowls/cups, cutlery or cooking utensils, so we had to make do with other things. Other than that, the room was clean and maintained at a nice temperature. We were also granted access to the building’s gym and hang out spaces. The location was perfect for accessing the city and air port. Lots of great food places nearby too!

As of August 2025 the building is surrounded by scaffolding. Facilities for guests are minimal: no waste bin in the room, the one in the available kitchen is never emptied so is overflowing and constitutes a health hazard. There is not a single mug, plate, piece of cutlery in the kitchen, or cleaning cloth/disinfectant. There is no refreshment available at the property or nearby. If you just need a bed for the night this property is OK, but if you want any more - it is to be avoided

The hotel was run by what seemed like a young, very friendly and helpful, family. The hotel rooms are adjacent to the reception building, flat screen tv (although we did have a wifi issue and couldn’t access it was there and there was ability to hotspot additionally). We stayed in the deluxe twin room which ours was equipped with a double bed and a single bed. They have water and fizzy juice available to buy when reception is open which was brilliant as the nearest shop is a walk away. The only downside is potentially the location (which is no fault of the owners) but we got ubers from the venue to our destinations and back and at no point felt unsafe. Would definitely return, brilliant service and for the price is definitely worth it.
