"The name says it all. A absolute dream for a fisherman or kayak/canoe enthusiast. The little enclosed area on the lake with table and heater/fan is great for my wife while I night fish off dock. Top notch Italian food restaurant on the lake. The host are the most gracious and kind people that will insure a seamless stay"

"Staying here was like staying at a friend’s lake house. It was clean, comfortable and had many amenities. There was a coffee bar with coffee pods, individual flavored creamers, honey and sugar cubes. The kitchen had the necessities of home, which made cooking fajitas on the grill easy. The beds and the living room were comfortable! But my favorite area besides the dock was the big porch with 3 different seating areas and fans to keep the skeeters away. We even enjoyed kayaking while we were there. The small town of Hawkins is 10min away with a Brookshires grocery store, Ace Hardware/gift shop and red Rooster Ice house! I love the tall pine trees of East Texas! It was great to get away from the white bright pavement ."

"My husband and I spend our 10th anniversary here and we absolutely love the peaceful quiet setting. The property was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed sitting on the porch early mornings and late evening. We went fishing and had a blast even though the turtles took all our hair the experience was fun! We will definitely book this rental again."

"My boys and I stayed here for a week while my daughter was at a summer camp near by. We had a blast. The fishing was great and we swam every night. Goodness, the pizza down the road from the local restaurant was excellent. This is a cute cottage house that will allow you to 'get away' and enjoy the peace of lake living. Lots of fun and we'll be there again."
