Our stay at Vatican House was ideal!! The apartment was the best place to come home to after our tours of the Vatican, Colosseum, Pantheon, Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. We enjoyed wine and snacks out on the rooftop terraces and relaxed in the living room. We also had our breakfast at the caffè next door. Would love to return!
Great space for a family. More than what we expected. Balconies were an excellent feature. Nicolo is very attentive and helpful at all times. Public transportation is close by.
Overall, a great accommodation.
Why 4 stars on some?
Accuracy of online listing- advertises AC but there was not an option to adjust to our comfort. Owner had it set (77 F) which meant way hotter, especially at night, than we would have liked. During the day a good breeze comes through. Patio furniture needs replacing, wicker is split on seat(s). We pulled other chairs over so easily remedied.
Location-a lot of siren noise but easy walk to the Metro and within walking distance of the Vatican Museum.
Great communication with owner.
This apartment was perfect for our larger family group traveling together. The rooms were spacious and the terraces were wonderful to enjoy the cooler mornings and evening during our stay with the August heat. The kitchen was well appointed with all amenities to prepare light meals and there were grocery stores and a great selection of restaurants close by. The two washrooms were most welcome for our family group. The beds were comfortable. There is an elevator which proved useful for our elderly parents and hauling our luggage up to the apartment. There Metro and bus stop are minutes from the accommodation as we did not use or need a car for our stay in Rome. With the local transit and ease of the Trenitalia schedule we got to enjoy the surrounding area of Naples and Pompeii. Our host was most welcoming, friendly and was very accommodating. Grazie mille for offering this most amazing accommodation and being a special part of our Roman Holiday cherished memories!
Great stay. Large apartment with everything you need. Great patios for relaxing with some wine and conversation after a long day of sightseeing. Beds are very comfortable. Easy commute using the Metro or Bus 46 (just outside the front door). Would stay again.
Over All a great experience, location was in the right place, our host Nicolo, attended to our needs. Bottom line great host. Would enjoy coming back.Thank you Nicolo
Nicolo is very nice and helpful. With that said, the unit is shabby. The bedroom with the twin is unusable due to a strong smell of mold and mildew; the same smell exists in the double bathroom (a shelf in the cabinet is eaten away by mold) It also needs a solid cleaning; it's dirty by most standards. The kitchen is likewise shabby. Cabinets sag and are chipped. The "sofa bed" is old and unusable. It is fair to say, the place needs a lot of work. Again, the owner is kind. the wrap around balcony is wonderful.

Wohnung
