The Prati neighborhood is one of the most charming areas of Rome, known for its elegant architecture and lively atmosphere. Located just a short walk from the Vatican, Prati is characterized by wide tree-lined streets, Art Nouveau buildings, and high-fashion shops.
Via Cola di Rienzo is one of the main thoroughfares, famous for its boutiques, cafes, and restaurants. The neighborhood is also an important residential area, frequented by families and professionals.
Additionally, Prati is well-connected to the rest of the city, with numerous public transport options making it easy to get around. Among the points of interest, there are also several museums and monuments, such as the Museum of the Roman Republic and the Risorgimento.
The area is ideal for peaceful walks, thanks to its parks and squares, like Piazza Mazzini. The combination of history, culture, and modern life makes Prati a unique place to explore. Furthermore, Prati offers a variety of culinary experiences, with restaurants ranging from traditional Roman cuisine to more innovative proposals. There are also artisan gelaterias and historic cafes where you can enjoy a great coffee or dessert.
The neighborhood is known for its markets as well, like the Prati Market, where you can find fresh and local products. The nightlife is vibrant, with bars and venues that liven up the evenings, especially on weekends.
Another interesting feature is the presence of educational and cultural institutions, such as schools and libraries, which contribute to an intellectually stimulating atmosphere.
Prati is also well-served by green spaces, such as the Giardino degli Aranci, providing a tranquil refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city. In short, it’s a neighborhood that manages to combine history, modernity, and a lively community, making it a very appreciated place by both residents and tourists. Prati is well-connected to many of Rome's main points of interest, making it a great starting point for exploring the city.
Here are some key connections A car it certainly isn't required.
Vatican: Just a short walk from Prati, the Vatican is easily accessible on foot. You can visit St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums without needing public transport.

Historic Center: Prati is well-connected to the historic center. In about 15 minutes will get you to Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, and Campo de' Fiori. Additionally, there are several bus stops that connect Prati to these areas.
Trastevere: To reach Trastevere, you can take a bus (like the 23 or 280) that will take you directly to this charming neighborhood.
Colosseum and Roman Forum: From Prati, you can take the metro (Line A) to Termini station, and then switch to Line B, which will take you directly to the Colosseum.
Fiumicino and Ciampino Airports: For the airports, you can take the train from Termini station or a shuttle bus, both of which are easily accessible from Prati.

Totally a positive experience. The host helped our stay to be perfect from excellent communication before, during and after the stay. I highly recommend this location.
Elle was amazing. She made sure the apartment was in excellent condition for us when we check in. The apartment was exactly what we needed to make our stay in Rome perfect.

Alberto was excellent on checking in this was the best trip yet!!!
Very clean apartment with everything you need to enjoy Rome. Perfect for 2-3 guests. The host helped us secure a ride from the airport due to it being Easter weekend and lack of taxis. She responded quickly and kept us informed. Very thorough when we checked in to explain how everything worked. We'd stay there again.
We had a great time at our apartment! It was very clean, organized, had everything we needed! Much patience was given to us at our check in which was very appreciated! Walking distance to Vatican museum and easy taxi experienced for anywhere along Rome we needed to go. Would definitely stay again!
Spent 5 nights in this property. Was extremely clean and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Great communication from the owner for checkin. Everything was as advertised. Was just a quick walk to visit the Vatican. Would recommend this property and stay here again!
The appartment is just as in the pictures. Eleonora is a great host and even arranged seamless pick up and drop off from and back to the the airport. If you are looking for a place to be away from the crowds, this is a great location. You are at a 10 min walk from the local market and 5 min from the entrance of the Vatican Museum.

The apartment was wonderful. It’s located within walking distance of Vatican City and neighborhood cafes and shops. The apartment looks exactly as advertised and the manager or owner was always available if I had questions.
The VRBO rental is exactly as pictured. It is very close to the Vatican! The rental is after the main entrance to the Vatican and makes it very convenient to visit Vatican City. There are plenty of e-bikes and e-scooters to ride and access the central part of the city!
Loved the apartment. Everything we needed. Safe neighborhood and across the street from the Vatican. Comfortable bed. Became our home base as we ventured to Venice and Naples too. Note for us old travelers no elevator. But the place is on the second floor, so not too bad for luggage….. Enjoyed it. And Elenora even sent a car to the airport for us. Thank you for a lovely first trip to Italy!
Eleonora could not have done more to assist and accommodate us. An absolutely wonderful and gracious host. The area is lovely - many great restaurants, close to one of Romes great markets, comfortable and clean accommodation. Great bed - incredible sheets !!
We loved this well appointed apartment. The location is only a 5 minute walk to the Vatican Museum. We went to Mercato Trionfale (15 minutes) most mornings to get fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and cheese. We made dinner at home several times. Cipro metro station and a number of bus lines made getting anywhere in Rome easy. Will stay here again.
We LOVED our stay & would stay again, very quiet location and walking distance to most sites. After walking all day we opted to pay a $15-$20 taxi ride home most nights to avoid the hills. From “downtown” Rome where most shops, places to eat/night life it’s around 10-15 min car ride back.
The apartment was perfect and exactly as show in pictures. Very beautiful with EXCELLENT air conditioning!
**only recommendation, If you like a soft pillow.. pack one :) hard memory foam pillows provided**
Host and team are wonderful
Communication was really great before during and after our stay.
The unit is in a great location. We walked everywhere, and did Big Bus around the city. It was a 25 minute walk to the stop across San Angelo bridge. There are bus stops, and loads of taxis around too.
The unit is lovely, with a great view.
Shopping and restaurants steps away.
We will stay again!
My point of reference in Rome it's the second time I come, I came back after many years about 10 and I found the apartment renovated! beautiful!! Apartment equipped with everything you need sheets and towels top! the area where it is located elegant and served by the best shops and restaurants, easily on foot you reach all the major sites or with a bus with the stop next to the house you can get everywhere and also with the metro that you find nearby in a few steps. the owner really friendly and available to welcome you and help you solve all your requests ... The peculiarity is the beauty of the building a small building in liberty style a real jewel. In conclusion I recommend this apartment it feels like being at home. Thanks Eleonora
My aunt and I stayed for a week and had a wonderful experience. Eleonora the host was extremely pleasant to interact with and very helpful. She responded quickly to texts and communicated clearly with us.The location was great, the street is quiet but enough people and traffic to feel safe. It’s walkable to any major tourist attraction you want to see but also close to a metro station. The apartment itself was very clean and well kept. The bed was super comfortable and the couch in the living room was perfect for relaxing. She provided extra toilet paper, soap, laundry detergent, anything you might need she seemed to have thought about and provided. We had a wonderful experience and would certainly recommend this place to stay if you are thinking of booking a trip to Rome.
This was a great property to be at, in a very quiet area and yet still close to the action of the city. my only issue is that when we booked we were given the incorrect address and so we showed up to check in and nobody was there. i was able to get in contact quickly and find the right place though. a nice clean place with all the essentials, tiny tiny bathroom/ shower though.
Amazing two days in Rome! Apartment was a short walk to Vatican Entrance. We visited the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St Peters B.
Our skip the line tour guide was amazing. We climbed the Dome 333 plus steps. Not for the cloister phobic! Be careful of Taxi’s who want to charge you a flat rate. It’s usually 3 times more than the metered rate. We would stay at Terry’s Place again. Arrivederci! Robert & Julie

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Address listed is incorrect and not as advertised
107 Viale Vaticano is not where this apartment is located . It would have been nice to know that the address on VRBO listing is incorrect. The owner tried to explain to me something about 20 years or another and she has obviously had privacy issues that should not be my concern. It is a clear misrepresentation to state one address on VRBO listing and the actual address is about 1/2 a mile up a steep grade. The owner was accommodating and very nice by letting me check in early. Had to pay an occupancy feeIn cash, which was odd. ( only 12 E) The apartment is adorable, comfortable and clean although there’s no “outside space” as mentioned. The shower is tiny so make sure to order extra towels to sop up the water. The money you save is spent on countless uber rides. There is no access to the shops And restaurants. Google maps Shows alley ways that are locked. If you were ONLY going to visit the Vatican museum, the Sistine Chapel, and the Saint Peter’s Basilica than this is a perfect location.
The apartment is lovely with great views. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a nice dining area. The bathroom is a bit tight on space. The bedroom is really nice with a big king sized bed.
The location is great in the north-west side of the Vatican city. There is a 5-10 min walk to the Vatican Museum. And a 5-10 min walk to the metro.
If you have a disability such as a need for a wheel chair, this might be difficult to access. Stairs from the front gate down, stairs on the front stoop and then a flight of stairs to the apartment.
Eleonora was very sweet and met us earlier than the usual check-in time which was really nice since we arrived at 7 am at the airport. She had lots of good advice and guidance. And she was very responsive during our stay.
We are definitely coming back here. Thanks Eleonora!

I stayed in the Terry’s House apartment late May 2024. Located in Viale Vaticano, the “neighbour” across the road is actually the Pope, as the Vatican Gardens are directly opposite. This apartment was light, airy and well appointed and presented with care. Communication with Eleanora and her team, in particular Riccardo, was excellent, and when there was a small issue with the front gate (not of their making), Eleanora made a special trip to ensure that all was OK for me, which I greatly appreciated. The apartment is in a great location that is safe and near the Cipro Metro station. As Viale Vaticano is a main road, there a bus stops and frequent taxis as well. If you are a light sleeper, you do do need to bear this in mind. The shutters do an effective job in blocking out much of the road noise, but you might need ear plugs as well. The neighbours are very quiet and you hear nothing from the apartments around you. There is a lovely view to the west and you can watch the sun set each evening. I walked mostly and you can reach the major sites on foot, remembering though that Viale Vaticano goes up a hill. Save some energy for the final approach to home! There are plenty of supermarkets for those like me who prefer to cook, as well as countless restaurants and cafés down the hill, mainly around the Ottavio shopping precinct and Metro station. A fabulous spot for a great Roman experience.
Apartment was charming and well situated! Very clean and comfortable! Eleonora was a fantastic host very helpful with recommendations and very clear instructions.
Eleonora was a pleasure to communicate with. From transportation to restaurants, she was great! Perfect for Vatican tour, good 1 hour walk to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps and Coliseum but very doable if you're a walker! Good markets and restaurants within walking distance too. Thanks Ele, for a nice stay in Rome!
