This beautiful apartment is in the centre of Rome, 5 minutes walking distance from
St. Peter's Basilica and Castel St Angelo where Tosca threw herself into the river Tiber! Situated on the top floor of a period building.
There is the added security of a "living in" caretaker.

The accommodation consists of:
1 Bedroom with double bed and fitted cupboards.
Separate Bathroom with large shower.
Modern kitchen with fridge, gas cooker/electric oven and separate Microwave oven and new Samsung washing machine.
Dining area by kitchen and lounge with 1 double sofa bed or two single beds.
The apartment is fully furnished with all reasonable utensils, plates, glasses cutlery. Towels and linen are provided. Our bed linens are all of pure white cotton.
Via Cola di Rienzo is one of the most vibrant shopping streets in Rome and sells the best in Italian fashion, food etc and is only 5 minutes walk away.


All roads lead to Rome and you might want to come back time and time again.
The period before Lent is celebrated as Carnevale, which means 'farewell to meat' in Latin. At Carnival time Roman bakers sell special 'frappe' (fried pastry cakes) which are delicious and the streets are full of children in costumes parading with their proud parents,

Nearby there are many shops, Cinemas, Pizzerias, Restaurants and Museums.
This area of Rome's main attraction is St. Peters, the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, but food is what draws the Romans to Prati.
The apartment is about 760 square feet, on the top floor (with a lift) of a 1920's building. It is very bright with stunning views.
Bedroom and living room both have air conditioning. There is also central heating in all rooms, so that you can be comfortable winter or summer.
The kitchen is completely equipped with a microwave-oven, 4 burner gas range and electric oven, fridge, plus all the necessary cooking utensils.
A washing machine, vacuum cleaner, flat iron and ironing board and hair dryer.
The narrow little roads around St. Peter's, the Borgo area, have a different feel and you can sense the hum of everyday life. Ordinary people live here and go about their daily business like their fellow Romans, who breath less holy air, away from the magnificence of the Vatican.
Prati is a great shopping area and after a morning spent in Via Cola di Rienzo you are ready for more self-indulgence and pleasure in the fabulous food stores.
The supermarket in the basement of COIN's store ESSELUNGA offers delicious ready cooked food.
Rosticceria Gabrini, Bar Castroni, Bar Cantiani in Via Cola di Rienzo have a selection of food and drinks from all the world .
Bar 'Te' Cioccolateria in Via Sforza Pallavicini offers delicious cakes and breakfast.
The large covered market of Piazza dell'Unita' is ideal for all fresh food.
All these food stores are irresistible.
TIGRE SUPERMARKET is located in the next block to the apartment.

CLEANING POLICY
On arrival you will find the apartment clean and tidy.
Final cleaning charges are not included in the total price.
We only ask our guests to leave no garbage inside the apartment.
We charge Euro 65,00 for cleaning for 2 guests plus Euro 25,00 for each guest exceeding the second. For rentals of more than 7 nights we can arrange on a weekly basis for linen change and cleaning.
TOURIST TAX is due only for the first 10 days of stay.
The daily tourist tax per guest per day is Euro 5.00.
Children under 10 years of age are exempted. Cash in Rome.

A week in Rome

We enjoyed the proximity of the apartment to all of Rome’s highlights. Neighborhood restaurants were friendly and authentic (so delicious). The apartment was clean, easy to check-in and corresponded with the pictures.You will need to walk up one flight of stairs after the elevator ride, but the view is worth it.

Perfect location, beautiful apartment.

We loved our stay in this beautiful appartment. The location was perfect with the Vatican, Castel D'Angelo and the Pantheon all a short walk and some amazing restaurants and cafes literally a street or two away.The accomodation is lovely and had everything we needed and Francesca couldnt have been more helpful. Fantastic Rome Apartment

We loved this apartment! It was in a perfect location not far from the Vatican and close to train stations for other touring (although we walked most places). It was clean, comfortable and well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. It was on a high floor so there was no noise from the outside at night and not on a busy street. The old elevator was really interesting! Francesca was absolutely fantastic with check in. She met us and spent a lot of time giving us tips an pointers that made our trip much easier. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

The property was great for our family of 4. We loved the neighborhood and were very impressed with the wonderful restaurants. Specifically the gluten free ones since my wife is Celiac. Location, location, location! The apartment is perfectly situated, just a few minutes walk from the Vatican and Castel sant’Angelo and within easy reach of the Colosseum, the Pantheon, Fontana di Trevi, Spanish Steps and the other sights. We were a party of three and the apartment was very comfortable for us. Carla, Francesca and Marco the caretaker were all very helpful and we would certainly stay there again in the future.

At home in the Prati

This is a lovely flat that feels like home in a beautiful part of Rome. On a quieter side street you are still minutes away from the sites of Rome and lots of shopping. The flat is comfortable especially for 2 people. The kitchen though small is well stocked with all you need to prepare meals. The view from the entry window is priceless!

This apartment was the perfect choice for our 5 day stay. Our check in with Francesca was seamless and we were grateful for her restaurant recommendations. The apartment is well equipped although a toaster would have been helpful. We can thoroughly recommend this apartment as the location is ideal for whatever you want to see and do in Rome. Overall clean. Kitchen floor was a bit grimy. Space is smaller than it looks in pictures. Neighborhood was very noisy on the weekend. Good walking distance to St. Peter’s and grocery stores. Owners were very helpful in getting us checked in and checking with us in advance and telling us where to park, shop, eat. Mar, the porter, even gave us his street parking spot so we would not have to pay garage fees for 4 days. Overall, lovely experience. Was a nice place to rest at the end of long days of site-seeing.

The old elevator is very unique! The property was super close to all sights - very walkable. The only drawback was that there was no fan in the bathroom which for four people didn’t work so well. But other than that, the main bed was super comfy and the AC was spot on!

Charming traditional home

Rental was exactly as shown and stated in reviews. Host was very patient with us with are arrival delays, making the start of our stay much easier. Location was perfect in that everything was within walking distance with few exceptions. Good dining within 5 min walk along with grocery stores for staying in. Has an elevator/lift to get you to the 5th floor, the last level is stairs. Kitchen had everything you need to prepare a meals. Location was off the main streets which made it quite and relaxing with the windows open anytime of day or night. The only issues with the apartment was the bathroom having a strong mildew/mold smell similar to a damp basement. The bathroom was clean with the exception grout and sealant in and around the shower having mold/mildew stains. This issue was not enough to change our opinion of staying here again, we would. It was perfect for us.Bottom line is that I would recommend this to my friends and family. I fully plan on renting this on our next visit to Rome if it is available. If coming from FCO the SITA bus drops you within 5 min walk. Much easier than taking train into town.

My family’s 1st trip here in Rome and we LOVE, LOVE this rental home. We have a beautiful view once you go in through the door. We love that is so close to almost all the famous tourist attractions. The Vatican City is a block or two away. We pretty much walked to all the places such as the Trevi Fountain, The Colosseum, Pantheon, Castel D’ Sant Angelo to name a few. This rental home also has a great AC thats so great once back from too much walking under that Roman heat. I definitely would recommend this place and would love to come back someday soon.

Privacy in Rome

Located in the Prati area of Rome (across the river near the Vatican) is this very private and comfortable apartment. My husband and I found the layout of one bedroom separated from the living room by a long hall very pleasant. Being on the top floor on a street with no businesses, it is very quiet also. Near good restaurants in Prati as well as a short walk across the Tiber to restaurants in the historic district. Good shopping and amenities within a few blocks. Lovely host Francesca lives one floor below and very helpful and responsive. For stays over a week, a very efficient and nice cleaning person is available for an additional charge. Fast internet. We do not cook, but the kitchen looked well set up with good appliances for those that want to cook (like all Roman kitchens, compact). We enjoyed our stay here very much and would definitely come back.

Perfect home away from home

We loved this perfect apartment. The building was clean and neat and of course we loved the 'lift' with its old fashioned gate and double door. The location was terrific- walking distance to the Vatican, Piazza Navone, the Metro and many other sites, but also in a more residential neighborhood with a little less tourist frenzy and traffic. The apartment was just as advertised and very comfortable. It was easy to work with Clara in setting up our stay and everything was exactly as she said, including transportation from the airport at a fixed price. We do note that the street is not very highly trafficked and our taxi driver had a hard time finding it. It was a good thing that we had a map, since he did not have google maps. All in all, a wonderful stay in Rome.

Excellent apartment, great location

We have rented many apartments in Italy and France, and this is one of the best. The apartment is comfortable and well-equipped. The kitchen is small, but it has all the necessary tools and we cooked many meals. Importantly, there is excellent natural and electric light, so that it is possible to read both in the soggiorno and in the bedroom. Francesca was very helpful, although we had no problems with anything. Note that the location is idea. While the area is busy, the apartment is absolutely quiet night and day. Prati is an interesting area, right on the edge of the tourist centers of the Vatican and Castel Sant’Angelo, but equally close to a part of Rome that seems well off the tourist track. Cola di Rienzo is a very good shopping street. There is an excellent mercato rionale a few minutes away and good restaurants and bars for morning coffee are everywhere. We would rent this apartment again when we return to Rome and strongly recommend it.

Mixed Feelings

We have used VRBO for 8 yrs and this is the first time we have felt the need to give a less than stellar review. Communications were excellent including assistance with taxi service from the airport (Costantino Limo - Highly recommend). The apartment is functional. It is a perfect location being in a quieter neighbourhood but minutes away from excellent restaurants (fav: Sorpasso), wine bars (fav: il Covino) and grocery stores. Great shopping on nearby Via Collo Dei Rienza. An easy 10 minute walk takes you to the Vatican, Sant Angelo Castle and Ottaviano subway to the Colosseum and Roma Termini train station. Our concern was the condition of the apartment itself. With exception of the bed (clean and comfortable), it is tired, cluttered and bit on the shabby side. Housekeeping was less than desirable. We had the impression the apartment had received not much more than a surface clean. Mirrors and shower doors were all watermarked, soiled slip covers on the furniture and dusty floors. The owner did mention the regular cleaner was away. Over all we found the property disappointing.
