While the property is not bad and the location is quite good, I can't recommend this hotel in the least given how I was deceived and then charged twice. As soon as I was checking-in the concierge Ricardo noticed that two rooms, rather than the one I needed for myself, had been reserved in my name. He told me that I shouldn't worry, that he was going to find out what happened and let me know. Not only did he not tell me what he found out and never showed up again, but he proceeded to charge both rooms to me later on. I contacted the hotel and him multiple times to clear up the issue to no avail; he even blocked my number.

Gentil Ospite, Lo sentimos mucho por su error al momento de hacer su reservacion (reservando dos habitaciones en lugar de una) y si, efectivamente Expedia nos confirmo que usted hizo dos reservaciones y que como descrito en nuestras politicas de reservacion/cancelcion y tambien autorizados por ellos, procedimos a realizar al cobro de la reservaciom adicional ya que la habitacion estuvo siempre garantizada hasta el momento del check-in y usted siempre habia recibido comunicacion post-reservacion por ambas habitaciones. Lamentamos lo sucedido. Buenos dias!

Perfect location, friendly staff, ideal for couple
The hotel only has a few rooms on the bottom floor of a beautiful 16th century bldg converted to apartments. The location is perfect: 10 minute walks to St. Peter's Basilica, Piazza Navona. 4 minute walk to taxi pickup/dropoff area. The staff are friendly, helpful, and there was no issues as far as communication was concerned. Airport shuttles are NOT complimentary though available (50 Euros) and the desk is not manned 24 hours a day...they give you an emergency number to call if an issue arises. The rooms are clean but rather small, though adequate with decent complimentary WiFi. The bathroom was spotless, however, there is no counter space therein and the showers are tiny and slippery -- be careful in and out. The air conditioning worked perfectly and is entirely in the control of the guest which is a great plus during the summer Roman heat. The mattress was a bit worn and hard, one could feel the springs a little but we both rested well each night. Continental breakfast is available each morning from 0600-0800, the cappuccino is the best I've every had anywhere in the world! Overall, this is perfect for a couple who is out and about and wants to take on Rome all day and all night, then have a clean quaint place to rest up within walking distance. Very pleased.

Had a great stay. Stefano provided timely and effective advice on places to visit and things to be careful with, which really made our life lot easier during our short stay and visit. He even assisted us to purchase ticket for Vatican Museum and provided us with information on where to go and purchase a ticket from for the Colloseum.

Great for sight seeing
Very nice hotel with easy access to all sight seeing opportunities. The staff was great. The neighborhood was very quiet. The room was a bit small and the beds were hard but still overall a great place to stay. Nice breakfast.

Nice location but not much else
We thought we were getting a room with three separate beds but in fact it was a double bed and a tiny camp bed. There was no breakfast ready until 8 a.m. and we had to leave at 7:30. Fortunately as we were leaving, a large tray of pastries had been delivered outside, so we helped ourselves, since there were no staff around. A good location opposite Castel Sant'Angelo and Piazza Cavour behind, not too expensive but fairly poor facilities and service

The hotel is in a nice location but it is a horrible hotel with stains everywhere. They do not have someone at the front desk all night. Our air conditioning didn't work and they said they would fix it and never did. They seem pretty incompetent as to how to run a bed and breakfast.

The hotel is in an excellent location and within walking distance to important historical sites likes Castel Sant'angelo and the Bascilica of the Vatican. It is well connected with the rest of the city through bus lines, which are less than 2-3mins walking distance from the hotel. Service is very good and the locality is very safe, clean and upscale. The condition of some of the rooms requires improvement.

Convenient location and fairly comfortable. 3 of us sharing a family room - expected a double and single and got a camp bed which wasn't the most comfortable. Continental breakfast included which was adequate and set us up for the morning. Would stay again for location and very friendly staff who were very helpful

Wonderful hotel!
This is such a cute hotel! It was clean. Location is amazing. Just an 8 minute walk to St. Peter's Basilica, the city bus is a 5 minute walk, and there is plenty to see around this location. The staff was helpful and friendly. They made our stay memorable and enjoyable. Thank you for all your help!

This is a 7 room bed and breakfast. It was clean and the staff was like family. Small rooms but comfortable. Great location, walking distance from the Vatican and downtown Rome.

More like a B&B, but liked it
I stayed here 3 nights in April 2013 and chose it for location and price. Happy with both. The staff is very polite, speak english, and extremely helpful. Note: This "hotel" is really more like someone's larger flat converted into 6 units. It can be a bit noisy because the rooms are tight, all immediately off the "lobby" and all floors are tile. They give you 4 keys (one for the outside gate, the large front hotel door, the inner hotel door and your room key). If you are thinking you want a hotel where you can hang in the lobby and people watch this isn't the place for you. However, with free breakfast/internet/decent sized rooms and your private bathroom this is overall a good place to stay. Beware: The hotel isn't easy to find. The sign is just a maybe 2x3ft street sign. Giving a taxi driver the EXACT address is the best way to get there as if you're on foot you may be looking for hours wondering where it's at. Castle Saint Angelo is huge so you may find it an inconvenience to navigate around when you go out for your strolls (and don't try cutting through on your way back to the hotel as you'll find out how thoughtful the planners of the 700's where about perimeter security). Also, if you're planning on arriving after 8pm let them know because the staff go off duty and you'll never get past the gate to get checked in.

Great hotel for family
This hotel was perfect for our family vacation. The staff was fantastic - helped with our needs including directions and the printing of our boarding passes. The breakfast each morning was a nice treat, even a gal who will make you cappacino. We walked everywhere from our hotel- nicely located. We would stay there again.

Location!

This was a VERY "good deal" for us!! Breakfast was included...and served cheerfully!! The staff genuinely offered information and were helpful. This is a place to sleep....take a shower...leave your luggage....

Very Lovely Hotel
The Hotel was easy to find and labeled properly as to where it was. The security was very good... not that it was in a bad neighborhood though. Right across the street from Castel Sant Anglo and within walking distance to the Vatican and sites right across the river. Slightly far away from the metro station and the roads aren't that great for taking luggage but we managed and didn't have a problem. The staff are very friendly and willing to help with anything. The free breakfast in the morning was very good and a bonus was they had someone to make coffees for you. Overall this was a very nice hotel and I would definitely recommended it and would stay there again.

A hotel to avoid
This is not so much a hotel as a large apartment broken into rooms. The room was tiny, barely enough for three beds next to each other. There was construction in the building with terrible noise. The "lobby" is so tiny and so close to the rooms that one can hear everything that happens in the lobby from the rooms. A single noisy customer can result in an entire sleepless night. The "breakfast" is a few slices of stale cheese and salami with some stale bread. Even the famed Italian capuccino is some premixed heated something. The "staff" (one person) tries to help but they can't do much. After this, we stayed in much better hotels in Italy for the same price. So avoid it and don't be fooled by what Orbitz advertises as an "elegant" hotel and find something else.

Hotel molto comodo e dotato di tutti i confort.
L'hotel si trova proprio dietro a Castel Sant'Angelo e dista 15 minuti a piedi dalla metro Lepanto. Si trova all'interno di un palazzo molto bello e accogliente. Le stanze sono ampie e fornite con tutti i confort (tv, frigo,caloriferi, condizionatori). Ogni giorno le stanze venivano rifatte con cambi di asciugamani e pulizia del bagno. Si dorme benissimo in quanto non si sentono rumori né dalla strada né dalle altre stanze. La colazione è ricca e variegata. Il personale è stato gentilissimo e molto premuroso anche nel consigliarci i ristoranti migliori nella zona. Consigliato!

Nonostante la prenotazione fosse stata regolarmente confermata, all'ultimo momento, hanno trasferito un nostro ospite presso una pensione fatiscente, pur avendoci rassicurato che si sarebbe trattato di una sistemazione decorosa. In questi casi, quando si crea un disguido al cliente, un albergo professionale, trasferisce l'ospite in una struttura uguale o superiore a quella prenotata, prendendosi carico della eventuale differenza.

Für alle die Rom erleben möchten, hat dieses kleine Hotel eine ideale Lage. Zu Fuß sind viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erreichen - aber auch per Bus oder Metro. Für Städtetrips eine gute Unterkunft, da diese ja keinen Wellnessurlaub sind und damit deckt das Hotel alle Bedürfnisse ab.
