This is a large and comfortable double bedroom with a generous window overlooking the rooftops of Trinita’ dei Monti. There is also a queen size sofa bed and its own ensuite bathroom with shower. Stepping out of the entrance room, with four ample windows at the corner between via Bocca di Leone and via Borgognona, there is the large living room, with comfy sofas and ottoman armchairs, a long antique dining table that seats eight, lit by a crystal chandelier, a desk and two antique consoles. There is also a flat screen TV in the corner. Further down the hallway, you find the kitchen, brightly lit by floor-to-ceiling windows that look over a charming courtyard. The kitchen has marble worktops and it is equipped with a built-in five burners gas cooker, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, toaster, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine together with plates, cutlery, pots and pans. Pompeii bedroom: off the entrance, with its windows facing via Borgognona and the Hotel Inghilterra, this is a large triple bedroom with walls painted in a rich Pompeian red. It features a large built-in wardrobe, an antique chest of drawers and two comfortable armchairs. The bathroom tiled in off-white marble has a basin, WC, shower and bidet and is to be found down the hallway. Off the kitchen there is a spacious new bathroom with white mosaic tiles, divided into two areas: one for the WC and a small basin; the other has double basins and a large glass-enclosed modern shower. Flowers bedroom: this single bedroom has a large single bed. There is a wall light in the loft area for reading at night. The room has a built-in wardrobe, and a pass-par-tout wall shelf. White master bedroom: the master bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, hosts a pleasant brass king-size bedframe and is furnished with a desk, an armchair and a large cabinet-style wardrobe. A French window opens onto a small balcony filled with plants that looks on the internal courtyard, with views of several nice terraces and balconies. The only issue we had was the driver wasn't in the right location, but she helped us sort it out. The place was in a wonderful location, the wifi, and the ac were all perfect. The 4th floor with tiny elevators were difficult my 70 year mom, but we managed. The small cons were only 1 bathroom had an outlet where a hair dryer worked, the trash/recycling were very small bins, and the key wasn't always the easiest to use (especially since there were 2, but unlabeled for inside or outside door). We walked to everything - the pantheon (10”?), the Vatican (40”), the colosseum (25”), shops (right there), great restaurants outside the door, the Spanish steps (5”), etc. Perfect. Honestly.The apartment itself was nice - 3 spacious bedrooms with large (queen?) beds that were comfortable and decent sheets, pillows, etc. One bedroom was smallish with a twin and a loft - full size but very difficult to get into as an adult. The small bedroom and the white bedroom had a great location overlooking a small private courtyard- so very quiet for people (like me!) who have a hard time sleeping in the city. There were shutters on all of the windows which mostly blocked out the light, also. The elevator is small but functional and very helpful.A few things would be nice - the sofas have no real backs and so we had to be creative with the pillows. Sofas with backs would be nice. There are no instruction manuals. A manual in English detailing the recycling system, translating the heat, and trouble shooting the washer and dryer would be great (we had to google how to open the washer). The refrigerator door is on backwards. But these are small considerations considering the amazing location, nice size, comfortable beds, easy communication with Romac, etc. We would love to stay here again if we revisited Rome, it was fantastic.Thank you for a great vacation! ##### Crystal M. We had a small communication error on setup of the apartment which we were able to fix. The apartment is a 10 to 20 minute walk to most major things and if not then the Metro is very close by. Don't hesitate to book this luxurious and historic flat in one of the finest shopping areas in Rome! Our family of five with three young adult kids enjoyed every minute of our stay. Incredibly comfortable beds and pillows, a fully stocked kitchen and laundry room, bathrooms for everyone with toiletries... but that's not the best part. Throw open your windows and let the sounds of the street inside. Live music from nearby cafes and the gentle hustle and bustle of this elegant neighborhood make you feel a part of the story. It was easy to gaze at the rooftops bathed in golden sunshine and imagine life in that very place a hundred years ago... we will be back! Thank you to Catherine and her team! ##### Ashley S. The location was perfect, in the middle of a fancy shopping pedestrian zone, near Spanish steps, fontana diTrevi. We could hear someone signing opera nearby through our open window. There was so much Italy in the air, it almost felt like a video game. Although jet lagged, we could not resist sightseeing right after our arrival Hosts were responsive. They stocked the fridge with our shopping list before arrival. With so many restaurants nearby, we did not cook much. Our favorite nearby was Donna Sofia. The apartment is spacious, eclectic, charming. There is a hidden loft. Very casual sofa near the glass chandelier. We liked paintings on all the walls. It has quirks: 4th floor, the elevator is tinny, and so is the front door; some showers were tight. If you expect modern flawless luxury, this is not it until they are done with all the upgrades.
