The room itself was ok but the shower was awful. The head was completely broken as well as the slider. Also the room was not cleaned during the stay. Replacement towels were given on the last day

The owner was FANTASTIC to deal with and very pleasant. The property was dirty with bugs in the showers coming from the cracks and the blanket and bedding had a dirty scent that made me sneeze the entire stay. The elevator was also extremely old and a little terrifying.

We made our first trip to Rome from the USA and found Quality in Rome to be a very nice place to stay. The room was very clean, and the location was excellent. We arrived directly from a cruise and Massimo met us 3 hours before regular check-in time and gave us access to our room. He also allowed is to store our luggage at the end of our stay until we departed for the airport. He was very helpful and we would highly recommend this location.

We were delighted with the facilities! Really cute vintage place. The room was BIG nicelly decorated and very well equiped with a kettle and a mini fridge. The bed was really comfortable and the washroom very spacious. The building where the hotel is located is antique, with an equally antique elevator that works perfectly! We were surprised with the great condition this lift has been maintained. The lication is fantastic. Walking distance from the coliseum, la fontana de Trevi, the spanish stairs and all the main attractions in Rome. Lots of restaurants nearby and nice trattorias. As a plus,Massimo the hotel owner was very nice and accommodating, he made sure we were ok with all our needs covered. Thank you, Massimo!!. We highly recommend this place and we will come back.

Loved this property. It is so convenient. There are services nearby, it is walkable to all the attractions of Rome. There are fun shopping and dining areas in all directions. It is a perfect location. While there is not a fully-staffed front desk, we were very pleased to get assistance when necessary. The airline lost our luggage, but the staff at the hotel made arrangements for us to have the luggage delivered and then stayed at the hotel to receive it. THANK YOU. Very kind and helpful. I loved my stay here!!!

Parent& luggage&a10-month baby were denied check-in in the pouring rain. The owner closed the door and asked us to contact Expedia outside the building in the rain. "You didn't book a bed for the baby, the baby can't stay". The mother's heart was broken when the baby was left with a high fever of 40 degrees and vomiting all night. We ran around midnight to buy medicine and booked another hotel. I reported the incident to the police in Rome. The police confirm【 the owner has no right to refuse the stay on the basis of not giving a special reservation for a baby under 3 years old】We should call 112 for the Italian Carabinieri immediately when we were refused. What happened was 1 This was the last hotel of a long trip in Europe. Since the baby had been sleeping in the middle with the parents in a double-bed, he could not sleep alone. We had been booking double-bed rooms in all the hotels and it works. I paid for 3 nights, and I did not see any refusal for the baby during booking. 2 The owner refused the key, even if it was just the mother with the baby, because "the room is dangerous to bring the baby. the room was small& didn't reserve for the baby" 3 The owner continued to put the room up for sale (screenshots evidence) and eventually sold it again &denied the refund to us 4 The baby was sick for a week after getting wet. Don't pick this hotel unless you want to ruin your hard-earned vacation. If you have a problem, always remember to call 112 to protect your family.

Excellent 7 day stay. Comfortable and clean accommodations in an excellent location. Massimo, the host, was very friendly and accommodating. We would happily stay there again. Make sure to communicate via Whatsapp with him via the number shown on the Qualityinrome website. The Hotels.com website had incorrect contact info and its email communication links definitely needs updating - clunky interface that did not work at all. But that’s a Hotels.com issue.

It was fabulous. Massimo was so kind and helpful. The room was comfortable and the location was phenomenal- so close to everything. If you stay here you have to go a couple doors down to Striscia La Pizza, it was amazing, we ate there 3 times in 4 days.

Location was very nice and the rooms were updated and very clean. Our room had issues with water draining in the shower, but other than that the room was wonderful. Was close to a main road and many of the great attractions in Rome. Even great restaurants right around the corner. Great value. Would stay here again.

Ideal Location
This hotel was definitely no frills. It got the job done. It was clean, and a quiet place to rest our heads after a long day of exploring Rome. The location of the hotel was IDEAL. Close to main attractions while still being secluded from tourists. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Central location at a reasonable price
The hotel is close to everything, and good value. Do not be put off from the pictures of the front, once inside you ride a wooden box lift like you see in the classic movies to the floor of the hotel, where you will meet Massimo who will look after you. Massimo suggested best sites, travel and arranged our return transfer. Rooms are clean and tidy, although I will be taking my own mug next time as the cups they provide are glass and difficult to hold. The room has not got 24 hour reception, although Massimo can be contacted if there are problems. Nice resurants behind (the second one along looks very dated, but is excellent value and the food is delicious - especially the pannacotta). A supermarket to stock up the fridge is two down. The hotel is a stones throw from one of the main roads, turn right and walk for 10 mins and you are at Termini station, left for 10 mins and you hit the sights. Rome has a something to see or buy on every corner, with reasonably priced places to eat every where. Pre book main sights like the colosseum to avoid the ques. Underground and busses are safe, cheap and easy to navigate. Rome needs a few visits to see it all, and I would Use this hotel again if I do.

It is just walking distance to Colosseum! Room was clean and nice! Staff was polite and nice. The best part of this hotel is the elevator because is old and remind you classic movies. In general, it is a nice place to stay if you like to go to Rome. The only thing that I hope they change is that you get charge 25EU if you check in after 9 pm.

Massimo (the owner) was so helpful when our plane was 10 (yes 10!!!) hours late and accommodated us during earlier hours than usual. He was also very easy to get ahold of via email. The room was just what we needed and very clean. Nice bed, enough pillows, space to store our things, new TV with a DVD player and lots of dvds to choose from to watch (many in English). I would definitely recommend this place to anyone on a budget and would definitely return. My boyfriend and I look for hotels that are quaint and Italian-feeling and this one was perfect.

Nice hotel, just 10 min away from main attractions
This is not your regular hotel, but rather a lovely guesthouse. You feel like one of the locals going in through those beautiful massive wooden doors of the local blocks of flats. Massimo is a great host, explaining everything and providing all the iformation needed for your stay. I am a little bit of a clean freak and dread staying in budget hotels for this reason, but the rooms were very clean and they were being cleaned daily. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay in this beautiful city that dows not break the bank and is situated 5 mins from the Vittorio Emanuelle II monument, 10 mins from the Colloseum and the Roman forum as well as the Fontana di Trevi and 20 mins from other attractions such as Pantheon, Piazza Navona and the Spanish steps. The Vatican is a short metro ride away and Termini can be reached in about 15-20 minutes where you can catch the Leonardo express back to the airport. Thank you for your hospitality Massimo, we would definitely come again soon.

Convenient hotel
Newly refurbished room, comfortably appointed, only minor drawback was bathroom layout. Never did actually meet our host, but ably welcomed by his friends, who gave great advice on a local wine Bar! Definitely recommended accommodation if you want come where convenient for walking around the tourist sites of old Rome.

This hotel is right in the middle of everything! it's so convenient for all trips when in Rome with a 10 minuet walk to the Coliseum, very happy with the position of this and the owner is very friendly and more than happy to help with directions and transport.

Our stay in quality in Rome did not start off with a great start. Due to train delays we were not able to arrive by 9pm which is apparently is when they would sto checking people in. After numerous calls with the owners, without much sympathy they said they would call us back to let us know if we can still check in. We would be there at the hotel at 10:30 and they made a huge hassle about us checking in late. Finally we called a final time and they told us they would be there to let us in. The room condition was okay, a bit small but passable. Due to their limited check in time, be careful is you would be arriving outside the hours of 2pm-9pm
