Rooms were nice, and location is great. Rooms were relatively clean but a little less so than a usual hotel, but I found that a lot in Europe. Nothing to ruin the room, but I could see it bothering some people. Showers a bit small and cramped, but fine. Service was pretty poor. When checking in during their check-in hours, the staff member didn't communicate anything about how the doors worked (one key for the outside door, another for the gate, card for hotel and room) and didn't say anything about breakfast. Sometimes in the morning, there would be a cornetto or two, but I would not say that this is a bed and breakfast at all. Staff is not there at all times, which was expected but are supposed to be available 24/7. They aren't. Most of the time when calling on the phone, they do not pick up, for all three numbers that we had. So, we never got instructions on how to check out either but made it work. Check-in times are nice and early, which is a big plus. We had to wait for our room in London. I would call in advance and try to let them know when you are coming, and ask for specific instructions on what to do when you arrive. We stood outside for five minutes ringing the bell, and thankfully someone finally came out.
