Wonderful stay in Rome
Kambal B&B was excellent is all areas; location, near by services, easy access to subway, safe and busy area for walking. Restaurants, deli’s shopping all near by. Our Host Albert was excellent; he welcomed us, provided snack upon arrival, simple breakfast each day, and packed breakfast on our early departure day. Room was perfect, clean, bed was comfortable and a street side 2nd floor room- we love to hear the city. We would absolutely stay here again when in Rome.

Really nice, the only thing was the extra charges 45 euros for cleaning and local taxes that hotels.com didn’t include in the reserve and just you can pay in cash. It is better to use booking that include everything in the price.

I reserved and payed for two days to expedia in advance. But when I arrive at the hotel at noon time (on time I mean) They said that they don't have room for me and offered me an other hotel 10 min. walking distance. The hotel was terrible at all means...

Very wonderful people run this b&b
Elbert and Randy are incredibly caring and wonderful hosts. The room was super clean, a/c was adjustable and perfect and breakfast very generous and delicious. Their suggestions on where to walk/go were priceless, the map they gave us really made our trip!! it was an easy walk from train and about a 10-15 min walk from Colloseum. Because it is maybe a street over from most of the action, I think couples will love it but I did feel a bit vulnerable being 2 females and a child (the area seems safe but isolated) my only complaint was the shower was really small (I'm 5'1!), but this is Rome and to be expected. The restaurant they recommended was top notch. They are wonderful wonderful hosts and made our experience amazing! Salamat!

Cheating. We chose the room which is a private external bathroom. However, there is no private external bathroom in the B&B. We had to share bathroom. Let us feel very uncomfortable. It is cheating for their service and website. Everyone must be careful to choose their B&B.

Unique B&B: great service, great location
Elbert and Randy (the owners) are great! They go out of their way to make guests feel welcome and give great advice/information about Rome. Comfortable and clean room in a great location--overall great value for the price. Entrance was a bit hard to find as it is not well marked, but do not let that put you off. Also offer a thoughtful complementary breakfast. Only complaints are that the wifi was a little spotty, the external private bathroom is a bit annoying as it is not connected to the room.

Comfortable b&b with breakfast delivery
Kambal staff are very friendly and helpful, specifically the young man who serves breakfast was very polite and always tried to help us with information about local phone calls, train schedules, etc. The breakfast is delicious, I recommend trying the creamy hot chocolate! The bed is comfortable, rooms have high ceilings and a beautiful view of the street. There are some delicious restaurants and cafes right down the street when you exit to the right of the hotel.

Well located B&B
Kamball is equidistant from Termini train station and the Coliseum. It is well managed by Albert and Randy who are friendly and attentive to their small number of guests. They have pleasantly redecorated their 3 room B&B and deliver breakfast at your convenience to your room.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel , it is a great location , you have only 5 minutes to walk to Colosseum. The room was very cleaned, members of staff are very helpful, the continental breakfast it was very rich and served in your room.

Great location to all the major attractions. Elbert is very welcoming and helpful and his advise and information upon arrival was very useful for our stay in Rome. The room is clean as well as the bathroom and breakfast in bed was definitely the highlight of our stay!

Quirky little B&B
Fairly centrally located, with very friendly and helpful staff (Elbert and Randy?). Bed was very comfortable and the room was spotless. I was very grateful for the air conditioning unit (not sure if in all rooms, we booked the superior room). Breakfast was delivered to the room at a pre-appointed time and was varied and nicely proportioned. Only thing I missed was tea making facilities, though Elbert did make me a cup on one occasion. Also had a small fridge/minibar in the room that was an added bonus.

Lovely B&B. Close to Colleseum.
Great place to stay. Elbert marked off all the notable places to see on a map, explained the metro & prices & even made us a packed lunch when we were missing breakfast because of a long day trip. There is no dining room so breakfast is served to your room, which we found ideal as we could take our time in the mornings getting ready for a long day sightseeing.As a Mum travelling with her young son we wanted somewhere that felt secure & safe. The Kambal was both & a great location too. I would certainly stay again.

Superb service
I got a 5-star hotel service for a price of a B&B. Elbert and his staff, Lariel, were so accommodating and they did a fantastic job in ensuring that the guests are well-looked after. The location is indeed strategic and convenient as it is situated a short-distance walk to the Colosseum, the train station, and restaurants. Kambal B&B has got what it takes to be at par with the services provided by high end hotels.

Long weekend for 2 in Rome
We were greeted warmly on arrival and led to our spacious room with en suite shower and toilet. The apartment was clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was served at a time to suit and was plentiful. Overriding memory of stay was warmth of the hosts and time invested in giving local knowledge to first timers in Rome. Five Star
Hosts are warm and friendly, very attentive and great service, beats five star hotels. Room is big and very clean, breakfast is awesome, especially their coffee. Very safe area and great location. Highly Recommended , Kambal has definitely made my stay in Rome very enjoyable.

Charged two fees I didn't agree to at time of booking. Lots of noise from residents and construction workers. Windows must remain locked at all times due to threat of burglars.

Thank you for taking time on writing this comment Mr. BrokebackBackpacker, and we are surprised that the exceptional things and all praises that you said to us during your 5 nights stay with us were nowhere to be found in your review. Anyway, to answer your claims, firstly you were charged extra for the upgrade of your originally booked room with private external bathroom to our superior double room with private Internal bathroom, secondly as regards the late check in small surcharge, you arrived in the hotel at 1:00 AM, our receptionist had to stay that long to guarantee your check in, and on the website it is clearly stated that check in begins at 13:00 PM until 23:30 PM, so our reception would have been closed by 23:30PM, all these infos were emailed to you before your arrival, we also promptly informed you that exceptionally there's currently work in progress for the repainting of the façade of our building and it will be finished, finally, this this month January 2016, And lastly we've just warned you to close every time the window whenever you go out for logic reason of safety and security, the same thing that we suggested to thousands of guests we've had hosted during these pasts years and that is to lock the doors and windows of the rooms and be careful when touring around the big city of Rome, i really don't know if you aren't aware of that specially every time you travel abroad. Great B&B hotel close to Rome's main sights
We had a great four night stay in late October at Kambal B&B. It's located a short walk from the main train station (Termini) and it's also right on the subway line (line A), making a visit to The Vatican effortless. Other Rome main sights, such as the Coliseum, are a short walk away, and there are also plenty of restaurants nearby. The neighbourhood felt safe in the evenings. The room was comfortable and kept spotless for us every day. Breakfast was delivered to our room at our requested time every morning and the portions were very good. The owners of the B&B, Elbert and Randy, are very kind and friendly. They provided us with all the information we wanted and were very helpful in accommodating our travel needs. The included Wi-Fi worked well too. I would stay there again.

Kambal B&B was one of our favorite stays from our travels in Europe this past summer. Elbert and Randy and their other employees always made it their personal goal to meet our every need and always went above and beyond to recommend places to shop/eat and how to travel around the city. The rooms were comfortable, and the bathrooms may have been a bit on the small side, but all complaints that could possibly be made about our stay there were sidelined to the amazing service that we received. We will DEFINITELY stay here if we ever happen to be passing through Rome again!

Goes extra mile with service with a smile
Stayed at Kambal B&B last week with my family. Location is about 10 minutes walk from Termini station and 2 minutes walk from the V. Emanuele Metro station. We arrived in the hottest time of the afternoon, and the hosts helped us with our baggage, sat with us, explained the sights to see, breakfast requests etc. Elbert and his team have put in a lot of effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible - Thank You!

This is a review for their guesthouse.
This review is for their guesthouse, affiliated with the same owners. The day before their private external bathroom went out of order. So the owners, Elbert and Randy were nice enough to put us up in their guesthouse. The guesthouse is very spacious and conveniently located. One bedroom, with a bathroom (shower) and a large living room and small kitchen. It is about a 2 minute walk from the train station. From the train station, you can definitely spot the pyramid (Sadly it was not open for tours when I was there). They give great advice and where to go if you're new to Rome. Highly recommended. The owners are very nice and accommodating, I definitely felt like they wanted me to enjoy my stay even though I was only in Rome for one night (in May).

A Lovely B&B!
We had a wonderful stay at Kambal B&B!! Conveniently located near the train station, very clean, nicely decorated, and air conditioning that worked like a charm! (We found this to be very important during our stay in mid-July.) The staff was also very friendly and very helpful with tips for getting around and places to try. They also bring breakfast to your room, which was a nice touch. I would definitely, definitely recommend a stay here!

Overpriced and inconvenient
- The room has an external bathroom. - Location is not good, compared to many 3-star hotels on Via Cavour, close to the Colloseum. - Expensive. There are many 3-star hotels on Via Cavour, close to the Colloseum, that are priced at $20 lower. - The "suite" is not a suite. It is called a suite just because it has a (internal) bathroom. - Breakfast is small & bad. One croissant, a few slices of ham & cheese, juice, yogurt on a tray. All hotels offered much more: All of the above plus at least (boiled or scrambled) eggs, milk, a variety of juice, and several different kinds of bread, croissant, cake. Also some fruit. It's a buffet style, so you can eat as much as you need. The owners of this B&B try, but it's a really small operation and just cannot compete with the professional hotels. I strongly recommend you to look at the 3-star hotels, unless this B&B lowered their price significantly.

Well run place with emphasis on style and cleanliness. Very pleasant team who sincerely try to give you a special service. Very nice breakfast. Spotty internet. This is a superb B&B. Great value for money. Only 10 min walk from the central train station. Rooms are extremely clean and well equipped. Staff are sincere, friendly and helpful.

The hotel is 15 mins walk from the termini station, quite a good location. Elbert, one of the owner, is very kind to sent me a welcome email a week before my stay and give me a very clear Picture on how to get there. The breakfast is served in the room which could not be any better. Its highly recommended to anyone who prefer a warm and welcomed stay in Rome.

Great B&B with wonderful owners!
We had a wonderful stay and Kambal B&B. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived by train, and the B&B was very close to the train station which was convenient. I had read some reviews about the location being in a bad neighborhood. And although this is not the hip part of town; it was still very safe. And about a 10 minute walk to the Colosseum. The room was large and very clean. The air conditioned worked great. So great that we had to turn it off both nights because we were so cold. They served us a delcious breakfast to our room. And on our last day, we had to leave super early for our flight and they fixed us a togo snack/meal for in the morning and arranged transportation for us. We would both highly recommend Kambal!

It is not a hotel, it is just two rooms made available from somebody's appartment. Rooms are newly refurbished clean and nice. The table on which you have a breakfast is quite small and it is a problem when two of you eat. Wifi signal is quite weak. The entrance to shower cabin is very narrow so shower is not for chubby chaps. Breakfast is not what you call full English breakfast but it is tasty and nice.

Thank you for staying in our Bed and Breakfast, we have 3 bedrooms. We offer breakfast in BED, but you can use also the table to eat breakfast. Thank you for your nice review.
