While the people and service was excellent this is an old, run down hotel with so so beds and very small and archaic bathroom. To be fair Rick Steves said it was scruffy in his guidebook and that’s a good assessment. Great place for young people of those on a budget.

Was exactly what I needed - cheap but safe, clean and in an ok area walkable to the main sites. Breakfast nothing to shout about, but at least I got it for a “bargain” €5 a day. Staff friendly and good English (my Italian being non-existent). All good

Property definitely needs some updating (new paint, a plumber, new mattresses). Hotel only occupies the 4th floor of the building, and took some searching to find. Staff were very friendly and attentive at all hours of the day. Heater was set way too hot with no way to control the temperature, except to open the window (not the best when it is raining).

Hotel is very well located, just a block a way from metro station and about two blocks from Termini train station. Breakfast is good value for 10 Euros. Room is big but shower is extremely small and toilet sit was moving all over the place. It should be renovated. Also, our room was on first floor, outside an internal patio, and you would get a bit wet because of rain. However, this should not be a problem during summer season.

My understanding was breakfast was included which was an important feature for us when selecting a hotel. We discovered the breakfast was at an additional charge. The hotel was not very clean, especially the shower. The day manager was neither cordial nor helpful. He seemed to spend all his time in the phone when while guests were awaiting his attention. The night manager was very helpful though.

Dear Mr Hedzer,We are sorry but actually things are obviously not like that. As you should know, you book a room from September 29th to October 1st …Well, we was waiting for you all day and all night of September 29th, day of your check-in, but you didn’t show up until the day after at h.07.00pm ! All this without ever even contacted us and/or notified any delay. Therefore this is a “NO SHOW” and in that case, as you had to know, agreed in the policy, you lose all rights to the reservation and so we were free from any obbligation.Apart from respect and good manners, if you had just contacted us, this would have guaranteed you the maintenance of the booked room.Other than that, upon your arrival, we worked hard to help you and find a room in another hotel nearby, so We booked that room, but again, you didn’t have at least the courtesy to let them know that you wouldn’t be going (another no show).

This hotel is a good affordable option if you are by yourself or don't have a lot of luggage. The hotel is on the 4th floor and the elevator is big enough for 2 people. It does need some help in the rooms. I had two different rooms. One was downstairs and it was tranquil and nice. The shower was kinda bad and the pillows sucked but I expected it. The second room didn't have AC control. It was set for 23 degrees and it was sooooo hot outside. Mario was super nice and helpful durring my stay. Thank you!

The stay was great! The only thing that can be improved is the size of the shower and the shower curtains were moldy. But other than that, the property was great, comfortable, and would stay again.

I've stayed at the Nardizzi off and on for over 30 years. The owners are very friendly and the prices are hard to beat. I stayed 5 nights recently for under 200 Euros, at a hotel near a number of important museums and churches and right on the bus line. Hard to beat. The hotel is not fancy or richly furnished, but it gets the job done for the traveler on a budget

Staff was nice and friendly however the property is in much need of repair. The bathroom is horrific, bed and furniture outdated, the wifi is very slow (when working at all). I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I'd definitely return
I booked last minute and the hotel was good value so I wasn't expecting much, it felt safe (after a certain time the front door locks and you have to use an intercom to get in). The hotel is on the 4th floor but there is a lift so this wasnt an issue. As soon as I arrived I was offered a (delicious) esspresso and water before I was shown my room (beside the reception). The room was nicer than I expected for a single room, there was a double bed and table with 2 chairs. The bathroom was a little dated with the shower head and hairdryer a little worn but that didn't bother me too much. The room was a little dusty, but I'd definitely stay again.. the guys on reception were so friendly and always offered coffee and pastry in the mornings, it was a ten minute walk to the train station and maybe 5 from the nearest metro. The area around the hotel was quiet and safe feeling, some lovely restaurants and cafes. The hop on hop off bus stops near the termini about 10minutes walk away which was handy.

Do not book - no wifi
Dont go there, better options around. This hotel is the remaining of a better past. Room is outdated, with broken fixtures and old furniture. The towels are only replaced every 3 days, the cleaning lady hung again the wet towels that were on the floor. We found ants around our luggage. The ac stopped working in mid-august, front desk said it would be fixed the next day and that never happened. There is not enough hot water in the morning for showers. Forget about wifi, it does not work, they have concatenated 3 wifi extenders to cover the entire floor, it is really slow if you even get a signal... The only good thing, staff was friendly, especially the guy at night. It is rated as a 2-star hotel, but in reality, is an upgraded hostel. If you have huge accommodation tolerance, go for it, but when traveling with family, go to a better place.

Very pleased with the hotel, for the price it was just what we expected. A little quirky yes, but clean and tidy and good for a few nights on a city break. The staff were great, welcoming and helpful. Basic toiletries and a hair drier provided. The hotel was in a great location close to restaurants, mini mart, shopping, transport and a short walk from most major attractions

I would put in air freshener in the room because it has musty odor and have breakfast last until 10:00 or offer coffee I liked the location of hotel because it was central to local attractions and front desk staff was very helpful with local directions and public transportation to get to attractions. My room was clean and had very basic necessities for one night.
