We wanted a house right on the beach, and this one fit the bill perfectly, with big picture windows to enjoy it from inside as well. The house was spotlessly clean, airy, well decorated, and well-lit, with bedside tables and outlets on each side of every bed and good lighting in the bathroom. We appreciated the puzzles on the rainy day, but the pieces are getting mixed up between boxes. There are fifteen steps up to the front door, if you have anyone with mobility issues, and the house seemed smaller than in the photos (although most of them do!)The ceilings in the upstairs bedrooms are low, probably best suited to kids. We had problems with ants in the kitchen, and bought ant traps. Since we were just two, the one bathroom was fine.My biggest issue with this property is that we, despite a lot of VRBO stays, have never been asked to submit a driver's license for a background check. Our trip was somewhat last minute, and if the full refund cancellation date had not coincided with the day of our reservation, we would have gone with our second choice. Although I get it, I do not want all my driver's license info floating around on the internet. There were several miscommunications before the property manager seemed ok with us. Also - every email interaction we had with the 'host' seemed generated by AI, and was signed 'Casago Team.' In the past, we have appreciated connecting with a real person. This may have been one, but it didn't feel like it.
