I'm constantly trying to improve the experience for my guests and adding and remodeling. Romantic Beach Cabin at the end of a quiet street with forest on two sides. Cabin has been torn down to the studs and rebuilt with top of the line materials. It's not The Four Seasons though, its a quirky beach house with a ton of amenities. Hot tub with Privacy If the hot tub water is dirty,I'll drain it so there is a chance it might not be piping hot the second you get there although it is wired tom 220 volts to heat up quickly), 50 inch Smart TV with Cable, surround sound, Apple TV, and 400mb highest speed internet available. DVD, Stereo with IPOD Hookup, Cork floors, Granite Countertops and snack bar, Under mount Sink, Dishwasher, Microwave, High efficiency front load stackable washer and dryer, Well stocked Kitchen. fire pit, full disclosure that the ceilings in the bedroom are lower and might be a problem for those 6"1” and taller. The main areas are vaulted. Nice clean bathroom with one inch glass tiles from floor to ceiling, shower, tub. It is Jack and Jill style so you have to pass through the bathroom to get to each of the bedrooms, Queen size bed in master. Really small second room with private entrance to the outside and bunk beds and a second TV. These are best for kids although I sleep in there sometimes. The front deck is bounded by 12 foot tall Rhododendrons. You get the morning sun on the front deck. There is a barbecue and a side yard which you share with the deer.. The cabin is at the end of a dead end street and is very private yet it is only two blocks to the beach and the center of Rockaway. Coffee is provided. I supply some coffee and the house has a flat bottom drip coffee maker. Bring briquettes for the Weber BBQ. walk to get espresso, dinner, and sightsee. Excellent for those with kids and pets. Great swimming, fishing, and boating in Lake Lytle which is 2 blocks away. Garibaldi is about 4 miles away with Ocean Fishing access. Manzanita is about 12 miles away. City park two blocks away. Mountain Biking 1/2 mile away. 3 day minimum over holidays.: There is an additional Tiny House behind this one that is not attached, completely gated, and screened for privacy from the main house. It' for my personal use and is not rented although Im there occasionally. You'll have to leave the side driveway clear so I can drive in and shut the gate behind them. Don’t park at the pizza place. 3 day minimum on Federal Holidays next to a weekend. If you’re a nervous traveler, have health concerns, don’t like driving in the wind, rain, or snow, are concerned with your health please purchase trip insurance. I can’t afford to provide that service myself for last minute cancellations when it is readily available. It's difficult for me to rebook at the last second. Note: Cleaners are following all CDC/OHA, and Tillamook County best practice cleaning guidelines for Covid-19\. Prior to guest arrival and 48 hours in advance an email will be sent to each party requiring the following. 1\. Confirmation that no person in their party has recently experienced any flu or cold symptoms or had a fever within the last 10 days. 2\. No person in their party has been exposed to or interacted with a person who has tested positive for COVID 19 within the last 14 days3\. Guests will follow social distancing measures for the duration of their stay 4\. Guests acknowledge Tillamook County resident concerns related to increased risk of exposure of COVID-19 in Tillamook County rural communities as we move into summer vacation season and that all guests will make every effort to be good citizens and respectful neighbors during their stay. The only issues we had were with the living room furniture and hot tub…the furniture needs to be replaced; the couch and easy chair looked clean, but were not very comfortable and had the unmistakable odor of pets. The LED display on the hot tub is not readable, so you can’t tell how warm it is. It would also be nice to provide users with a bit of firewood (the pictures show wood available) for the wood stove. You won't be disappointed if you choose to stay here. It is great for a couple or a small family with smaller children. As the description states if you are over 6' 2" tall. You will be trying to avoid hitting your head, in the bedrooms and especially in the shower. Bed is comfy. Plenty of extra blankets, towels, and sheets. In the kitchen we had everything we needed to cook meals. Would recommend a knife sharpener. Living area included a larger TV, with Roku, Xbox 360 with a few games. Board games, puzzles, and a few different card games. DVD player and a few movies, books, and a record player with a few records. Covered patio was nice, we didn't use the hot tub, but looked well maintained. Might consider some sort of awning for the hot tub, so it can be used on those rainy, misty days. I was a little hesitant about renting when I read the owner had a space behind the house for their own personal use. I am happy we took the chance. If the owner ever used it we didn't see them. Don't miss out on this gem of house. Felt like we were not in town, since the house is at the end of of a dead end street. We saw 3 deer almost every morning in the yard. It was a quant place and very dog friendly w the front porch fenced. Parking is scarce. Tight neighborhood. Enough for 4 to sit up straight and watch tv. The Rocu doesn’t work barely at all! On. Off. Changing channel…. You cannot sit up in the bunch bed. Or open the door Very far to get into the small room. ( looks larger in the pictures for sure) I would have been cool with the dog friendly beach house. But the tub wouldn’t drain. Then the toilet was backing up. We plunged and plunged Pretty soon I got alllll kinds of hair up. I couldn’t pull enough till it broke off. “GROSS” The plunger is too small for the toilet. We gave up. Called. His phone had no sound. After time tryi texting.. He told me I could go home and get a refund for one night. ( I came here for business appointments and family time. It’s 5 hour drive) He kept repeating asking if I changed batteries and plunged. “”Yes!” Ok. Then he said we could use his apartment attached to the building. ( otherwise he wasn’t offering till I spoke up) 2nd flush and it was backing up and shower gurgling. Somehow our section of the tight apartment water seemed to flow. It all worked out without us needing to move. And could “ start our own laundry, dishes, and take garbage out. ( hope those cute raccoons don’t get into the can) I wouldn’t ever want to leave a bad review. Except this houses issues and no attempt to resolve any. Or attempt to compensate or sincere . It is a small place and perfect to a couple with one or two children or two sisters and 1 dog.. Having a fenced area for my dog to get some fresh air was very important. The location in Rockaway is perfect. Crabbing in Garibladi , shopping in Tillamook and of course a trip to the Tillamook Cheese Factory.Very short drive to Cannon Beach.
