    The Space:

    Nehalem Nirvana is a house that has stunning views. It sits on an estuary, looking out over the ocean, the jaws of the Nehalem River, and across Nehalem Bay to Nehalem Bay State Park and Neahkahnie Mountain. Watch gorgeous sunsets over the water from just about everywhere in the house. At various times of day and year, boats are enjoying the bay; hauling up crab pots and fishing for seasonal salmon or steelhead. You can even watch the sea lions play on the beach across the bay. It's been recently updated with updated bathrooms, new floors throughout the living area, new carpet in the main bedroom, second bedroom, and bunkhouse bedroom.



    It's located next to the Jetty Fishery, for your crabbing and fishing gear, boat ramp, and fresh crab and shellfish are footsteps away. The house is comfortably furnished with a spacious kitchen with stainless steel counters. It is set up to work equally well for a family gathering or a bunch of coastal fishermen.



    You and your group will find a main bedroom with a spacious bed and a magnificent ocean and bay; a second bedroom with another spacious bed; the 'Bunkhouse' with one bed and two pyramid bunk beds and a TV with a DVD player to keep the kids occupied; a spacious and comfortable living room, with TV/DVD/VCR; a kitchen/dining area, and a more formal dining room. Sit and read your book in the tiled sunroom with a couch that converts into a day bed. There is even a sauna to enjoy and relax in after a long day of being out on the boat.



    The outdoor spaces at this home are so full of beauty. Walk down the stairs to the private beach that changes with the tide. Tide pools can be explored at low tide, you can watch the boats pass by and even see the bald eagles flying around the estuary. Beaches are a short drive or hike away. Or just relax in the sun on the two decks. Enjoy romantic nights in the hot tub with the sky full of stars or just for soaking those tired muscles. With a gas BBQ and lots of outdoor seating, this will be the place your family wants to come back to again and again. And best of all it is dog-friendly!

Lovely location, needs better hot tub maintenance

This is our second stay at this property, our first since it changed to Vacasa management. Check in was easy and the team was responsive to questions. The house was overall clean other than quite a bit of hair in one of the showers. Unfortunately, we all developed a rash from the hot tub which suggests that the chemicals were imbalanced. The location is amazing with a small beach area to play on and a jetty to explore, Jetty Fishery right next door with fresh seafood to buy. We would love to come back again if these issues are resolved!

Relaxing home on the beach

This home is right on the beach, within a short distance of several other towns and beaches. Our party was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Vacasa was very accommodating and easy to work with. Next time we will book a longer stay!

Spring Break Fun

Myself, husband, friends, and our two dogs had a wonderful weekend kickoff to spring break. The best parts about this house are the gorgeous views, the fact that it is private yet so close to so many fun activities in Manzanita, Nehalem, and Rockaway, and the well-stocked kitchen. We had a great time crabbing at Jetty Fishery right next door and cooking a seafood feast in the amazing kitchen. 10 out of 10 would stay here again.

Great house, plenty of room, and all the girlfriends had a great time! Upon arrival we found that the house and hot tub were dirty. Some of the dirtiness we saw had been there awhile.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My group of 6 rented nehalem nirvana for a low key bachelorette weekend and the space was absolutely perfect. Since it was raining a lot, we spent a lot of time at home cooking, enjoying the hot tub, and hanging out in the cozy spacious living room. The listing photos haven't been updated, but they made some amazing updates to the bedrooms and bathrooms! Everything is clean and modern and totally exceeded our expectations. The house is nestled between all of the fun nearby towns and hiking trails. I am honestly getting emotional writing this review because we had such an amazing time. The house has lovely art and a lot of soul, unlike a lot of air bnb rentals these days. Go to buttercup for chowder and ice cream! :)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovely views of tidal Nehalem River, and a lagoon with interesting wildlife including river otters, herons, terns and more. Outdoor dining table provided place for sheltered spring (sunny but chilly) picnic dinners. The open floor plan enabled participation in jamming while doing meal prep in the well equipped kitchen. There were no sharp knives, but we brought some. Hot tub was super clean and great.The main drawback is that you have to drive to take a walk. The RV marina next door does not allow strolling on their property. That said, favorite hikes in the area are 15-20 minutes north and the jetty beach is 5 minutes south. We were five adults, were very comfortable, found the house flexible for our needs, and loved our stay.

Wonderful

Everything about this house was awesome- we loved the decor, the layout, the hot tub, and the sauna. The house was well equipped with a coffee pot, puzzles, movies, bbq and anything you needed in the kitchen. The location was perfect at super low tides it is possible to get to the beach. We even had a bunch of seals sunbathing on the beach across the way. We had a great time!

Great, comfy place with a wonderful view

We really enjoyed relaxing at this wonderful property. Very spacious and great to be secluded in a small year, with a view of the inlet and the ability to walk the inlet at low tide. Had all the amenities needed and was very cozy.

Nice Place on Oregon Coast

Property is unique -- above Newhalem Bay Jetty. Pros: good house and deck, nice it was dog friendly. House has pretty views of the mouth of the bay and well stocked, with bbq and hot tub as well. Right next door to the Jetty, which means you can crab off their dock (you do have to pay for that) or rent a boat. Cons: Check-in process annoying/never seen this before in a VRBO -- you have to pick up key in Manzanita, which is 20 min away and can't pick up a physical key until 5pm. So a little bait-n-switch feeling on 'checkin time' As it's not really until 5:30 that you can access the house, by the time you drive back (no mention of this in the ad). Don't understand why they didn't do keyless entry. The 'semi-private beach' they advertise is...yes, semi-private but it's essentially a fire pit area that you have. It's next to an RV park that has access to it too...

Great location and amenities!

We really enjoyed staying here. The view from the house was amazing and only a few steps away from fresh seafood at the jetty. We got a great view of where the Nehalem meets the ocean. We even saw Orcas on our first night! We enjoyed the hot tub and sauna after a long hike. The house had ample cooking equipment and made for an enjoyable long weekend with friends. This was a great find and we will definitely return.

The house is large enough to accommodate 2 families easily. The beds were super comfortable, the house was very quite and we enjoyed renting kayaks at Wheeler marina (we saw a bald eagle), hot tubing, cooking, watching movies and puzzling. Even the CD's they had were the perfect music for our trip. We would definitely stay here again.

The interior is dated and the carpet could use a deep clean or the use of a newer vacuum cleaner. We ended up not bringing dogs but still found long black dog hair on the carpet. The entire house needed a deep dusting. There were lots of spiderwebs and dust everywhere, which was hard on my allergies. The heater vents also seemed like they could use a deep clean, replacing the filter since my dust allergies seemed to kick up when the heater was on.

We were taking a trip with our pod to a place on the beach with a hot tub and sauna. There was even a telescope in the pictures that would be perfect to see the great conjunction if we had a clear night. So many sofas to lounge and read on, a crab and oyster place within walking distance!!! We couldn't believe it, too good to be true. And it was! There was a nailed sign on the sauna that prohibited use and there was no telescope:(. Those bits were disappointing especially because they were advertised enthusiastically. It felt deceptive and our first few minutes in the house were tinged with a feeling of disappointment. However, the house was clean and spacious and we were able to relax and refresh. A lovely stay overall but I had to mention what felt off about the place.
