"From the moment you arrive, the beauty of the hotel is striking. Walking in feels like stepping into a peaceful sanctuary. Everything about the design, setting and atmosphere immediately creates a sense of serenity. The staff are wonderful and beautifully attired. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment with its own private pool, and it was simply stunning. The layout and design were exceptional. Both bedrooms were beautifully done, and the bathrooms deserve a special mention; there are two, each with enormous standalone baths and huge enclosed showers. The space, design and attention to detail made the apartment feel incredibly luxurious. We visited Café Central for breakfast and lunch because we liked the peaceful vibe and found the fresh pastries, coffee, and variety of dishes to be wonderful. Sitting there quietly with a coffee was a lovely way to spend an hour of the day, and the gentleman Pedro, who works there, is absolutely charming. Overall, it has felt like a real privilege to stay at the Viceroy. It is a truly special place that combines beautiful design, outstanding service and complete tranquillity. The only problem is that you have to check out, and honestly, you won’t want to. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this stay so memorable. "

"Lovely, beautifully decorated guest house in heart of village. Rooms absolutely spotless and very comfortable. Fantastic rooftop views which can be enjoyed from the hot tub. There's an honesty bar in the lounge too! Our second visit to this lovely wee oasis in the sun."

"A very beautiful house and grounds, the pools were pristine although the time of year meant we didn't use them. Great communication from the hosts, really helpful. The views are beautiful and it was extremely peaceful. Superb for a large group of people."

"Great countryside villa that has a large pool (compared to other villas we have stayed in). Distant views of sea but gorgeous countryside and sunrise views. On large plot with multiple outdoor areas to sit, eat, relax etc. Great to have darts, putting and table tennis available. Fly screens on the patio doors work really well. Good powerful showers. Have stayed previously 10 years ago and the kitchen and bathrooms been updated over that time. Drive to vilamoura about 20 minutes but closer restaurants and facilities inland too. Would recommend if you want a quiet relaxed stay away from the busy resorts. Flexible, friendly owner and only things that could be improved are the bed mattresses - very hard, and the cleaning was a bit hit and miss. Overall a wonderful week away. "

"We had a brilliant two weeks at Villa Luzia, the booking was simple and stress free and no issues while we were there. The pool was great for the kids and adults and location of the villa is great for proximity to Loule, Ria Formosa and golf, all within 30 minutes drive.I would recommend this property to a large family or friends looking for a stay in the Algarve."

" Our 3-night stay was overall a good one, with great views. However, we did run into an issue with the air conditioning not working in one of the bedrooms from the moment we arrived. This made the room too hot to use. Luckily, there was another room with a working air conditioner where we were all able to sleep. The owner was responsive and tried to address the issue.The kitchen, while a bit dated, was well-equipped, and the room sizes were decent. One suggestion for the property would be to add a proper barbecue, as that would be a great addition for a house of this size."
