The one level cabin is accessible by a private road located off a one lane bridge. The property backs up to the Snowbird Creek, which Game & Fish calls it “Trout Fisherman Friendly”. Go for a “Smokies Slam” (catch a wild Brown Rainbow and a Brookie in a single day’s outing). The screened back porch overlooks the Snowbird Creek. It is the perfect place for an early morning cup of coffee in one of the two rockers or at the dining set. The cabin has an open floor plan with a vaulted ceiling that stretches from the living room to the kitchen, which gives you all the room you can ask for. The living room is cozy with a gas fireplace, couch, love seat, recliner, smart TV and a view of the water. Enjoy watching and listening to Snowbird Creek from two of the bedrooms (the master and a guest), the family room and back porch. The master and guest bedrooms are on opposite sides of the cabin, everyone will have an added layer of privacy. The Master Bedroom is an ensuite and has a king size Purple RestorePremier™ Hybrid Mattress, walk-in closet and a smart tv. Both guest rooms have a queen size bed. The Blue Guest Room has a dresser and a closet. The Front Guest Bedroom has a small dresser, no closet. There is luggage racks provided in bedroom for your convenience. Both bathrooms have a tub/shower combo, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and individual bar bath soaps for your travel convenience. You will find everything needed in the kitchen with plenty of granite counterspace to allow easier meal preparation. There is a microwave, dish-washer, coffee maker, electric can opener, even a 6-quart programmable slow cooker, pots, pans, cookie sheets, grill supplies, etc. I added a few of my favorite spices for your gourmet creations. The laundry room has a washer, dryer, iron, ironing board and laundry detergent. Whether you are having a grilled lunch at the picnic table, or roasting marshmallows over the firepit under a beautiful night sky, or just sitting in the swing listening to the creek the cabin is sure to provide a respite and recharge. Excellent Trout Fishing can be found on the Hatchery Supported or Delayed Harvest sections of the Snowbird, or take a drive to the Nantahala or Tellico Rivers, both of which are included in the Trout Unlimited list of the top 100 in the nation. For those wishing to tangle with a legendarily Steelhead Trout, the Snowbird becomes a special stream in the winter months with a run of Steelhead Trout from Lake Santeetlah. Enjoy the easy hike in the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, take in the beauty with a drive on the Cherohala Skyway, or ride the Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap only a short distance from the cabin. Its is a fisherman's dream location. Its also a fantastic place to stay if you are looking to drive/ride the Tail of The Dragon. Plenty of room for parking of multiple cars (we had 4 with plenty of room to spare) and plenty of room for trailers. It is amazingly peaceful as well. Our group was there to explore all the nice driving roads in the area and was perfectly suited for us. To say the cabin was organized and had EVERYTHING you may need is an understatement. It truly had all the amenities of home. Quiet, cozy and perfectly clean. Communication with the owner was fantastic. She offered more guidance, support and perks than anyone could ask for or deserves and was truly an amazing host. Not only did this house accommodate the three men perfectly, but Liz was a fantastic host. She answered all questions the guys had, especially about accommodating a 22ft trailer. She did warn them about a turn that was concerning and gave helpful advice on what to look out for. Liz also provided information on places to eat, things to do in the area, and what kind of fish they have a chance to catch in the stream out back.My husband told me the property was breathtaking, and the interior was tasteful. It was cozy, inviting, and nicely decorated. My husband was the only one who had prior experience with a guys trip but when they all returned home, they told me I need to book this place again for them next year. Maybe this time the wives can go too.My husband and his friends would give 1000 stars if they could. Hooked on Snowbird was the absolute best place to stay in Robbinsville, right in the middle of the most beautiful area of North Carolina. From the minute you cross the bridge over the creek a calm comes over you as you arrive at the cabin. It felt like home as soon as you walk in the front door . It's loaded with all the comforts of home and we found everything we needed . Comfortable King size bed, wi-fi, Big screen TV, Weber grill , swing by the creek and a screened porch overlooking this creek. I could go on and on about how Awesome this cabin is. If peace and quiet is what you are after, do yourself a favor, choose this cabin and you won't be disappointed. ##### Bill M. It was a great location. Close to Robbinsville and to many enjoyable drives in the area including the Tail of the Dragon. We enjoyed the stream that passed behind the cabin as well. The cabin was perfect and we felt right at home from the start. It was so awesome having Snowbird Creek just feet from the back door. My grandkids loved tubing in it for hours. Liz is the most wonderful and attentive host. She has thought of everything, so if you forget something, she probably has it there somewhere.
