This was a nice hotel - excellent location just across from the beach. Staff was very helpful and check in and check out was efficient. I had only one issue (probably due to Expedia booking) - that when I added a day (since there wasn't an early check in) option my booking was changed to not include the breakfast buffet. So I can't comment on the breakfast and I was surprised not to have it! All in all a good place to stay!

Windsor Marapendi is my hotel of choice every time I go to Rio for business or leisure. The staff is excellent. The facilities are great and the location is very convenient. Just a few steps from the beach. The beach is clean and safe and the overall experience is always very pleasant when I’m here.

the room was nice but a little dated. There was a small makeup mirror that was not cleaned the entire time even though I left it out. The beach was nearby and that was amazing. I was there for a work meeting and everything was great for that.

However, the property clearly needs renovation, and it does not meet the standards expected of a five-star hotel, despite being marketed as such. I had a pleasant stay overall at Mirapendi Windsor. The hotel is located a bit outside the main tourist areas of Rio de Janeiro, so getting to attractions can take some time. However, if you are looking for a comfortable stay near the beach, it offers good value for money. The rooms are solid and comfortable. While some areas are starting to show their age, everything was clean and well maintained. The breakfast selection was decent, though not particularly outstanding. What stood out most was the service. My first room was located next to the elevators, and unfortunately, I experienced very noisy neighbors during the first night. After mentioning the issue to the staff, they handled it professionally and moved me to a much better room, which even came with an ocean view. This demonstrated excellent customer service and a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. Overall, this is a good hotel with clean, comfortable rooms, solid facilities, and attentive staff. While the location is somewhat removed from central Rio and the property could benefit from some modernization, the service more than makes up for these shortcomings.

Great experience! English-speaking staff made it so easy. Location is in a very safe area. Breakfast buffet was incredible and we were so glad they had protein (eggs, bacon, and yogurts)--which was not available in other Brazilian hotels we stayed at, as carbs/cake are often served for breakfast. Nearby is an açai bowl place (bonus).
