Great location and wonderful staff, but unfortunately the property itself needs significant maintenance. The hotel is conveniently located near the metro and within walking distance of shops, pharmacies, and grocery stores. The staff were also friendly, helpful, and genuinely excellent throughout my stay. Unfortunately, the room had a strong mold-like smell that became noticeably worse whenever the A/C was turned on. Water also leaked from the shower wall into the bedroom, which was particularly concerning given the existing moisture and odor. Some lighting did not work, and the TV repeatedly made a strange popping sound before turning itself off. Overall, the location and staff were excellent, but the condition of the property took away from the experience. With better maintenance and attention to the rooms, this hotel could be a much better option.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt mit echter Gastfreundschaft! Ich habe vier wundervolle Wochen im Aera Hotel in Copacabana verbracht und kann es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen! Die Lage ist hervorragend: Direkt gegenüber befindet sich die Metrostation Cardeal Arcoverde. So erreicht man viele Orte in Rio schnell und bequem, ohne sich mit dem starken Strassenverkehr beschäftigen zu müssen. Was dieses Hotel besonders macht, ist die aussergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft. Von der Rezeption bis zum Housekeeping sind alle Mitarbeitenden herzlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Tag an willkommen und beinahe wie zu Hause. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Ein ganz besonderes Dankeschön gilt den beiden wunderbaren Mitarbeiterinnen Sueli und Neide! Sie haben mein Zimmer stets hervorragend gereinigt und mich bei jeder Begegnung mit Herzlichkeit und einem Lächeln begrüsst. Sie erkundigten sich regelmässig, ob ich mich wohlfühle, zufrieden bin oder etwas benötige. Diese aufrichtige Aufmerksamkeit hat mich besonders beeindruckt. Liebe Sueli, liebe Neide, vielen Dank für eure Herzlichkeit und eure grossartige Arbeit! Auch für längere Aufenthalte ist dieses Hotel hervorragend geeignet. Ich habe mich vier Wochen lang rundum wohlgefühlt und würde jederzeit wiederkommen. Herzlichen Dank an das gesamte Team! Fünf Sterne von Herzen!
