Run down hotel. Beware if you ask for dinner suggestions - the pizza restaurant they took us to tried to rip us off. Front desk guy admitted they get a kickback. We ordered 39 Reale dinner and were charged 89. Language barrier made it difficult to argue it. Awful bed. Not enough towels. Door handle bathroom was broken and air conditioning remote did not work. Breakfast was plentiful. Close walk to beach. But I won’t stay again.

There was nothing good about this hotel. The place is a dump. The hotel was dated, the room wasn't clean, and the washroom had mold and the showerheads had rust stains. We ended up leaving the hotel early after one night and booking a nicer one. We tried telling the front desk about the issues and they didnt seem to think the problems I mentioned were an issue.

The hotel seems very old, like from the 90s. The lift is incredibly slow. The fridge in the room was not in good condition. Shower head was horrible. The staff were lovely but the hotel needs some maintenance and updates.

The shower has black mildew and not clean. Location is not ideal. No where close to the beach as was advertised to be across the beach. Staff was nice. Parking was a hassle and cost R$80.00 per day.

This hotel is well located in the copacabana district. It appears to me to me to be about 1960's vintage. There is no gym...only 3 worn out jogging/bicycle machines. The swimming pool has very limited seating and is small, but it is a roof top and sunny location. The elevators travel at a snail's pace and are very small so waiting 5 or more minutes for one to arrive is not unusual.....I started taking the stairs. The breakfasts are excellent with lots of fresh choices and the staff are all helpful and have reasonable command of English. Due to the poverty of the beach areas in general, the streets around this hotel....and indeed every property in this area are populated with homeless persons and in the evening are bedding down in droves. Despite all of these comments, I woudl not hesitate to return. Location is everything.

Horrible hotel, Claims 4 star but not even 2 star. Rude staff. No toiletries in bathrooms, cheap towels and inferior quality. Just one small bar soap in bathroom, few packets of shampoo. Nothing else. When we asked for extra soap second day, they refused! They did npt want to give more than 1 hand towel even thiugh we were 2 of us. Shower panel peeling off and water getting behind causing mold. Staff does not speak English and refused to help even with google translate we were showing. Rude staff. Breakfast was horrible - lot of sweet stuff and long lines. Pictures are misleading. The only thing going for them is location and proximity to the beach. Everything else is bad. AVOID. Not a 4* hotel at all. Just a cheap motel. Do yourself a favor and book else where.

Great breakfast. The room was not was the sheme space I have the fist time when I was there the price. I told them the room was different and they say was the same category but was not. Ask the for the same they told me they din’t have the one but the price dint charge

Noise from upstairs and from street was disturbing. I guesss that was what i paid for. Morning breakfast was good but starting 630am is late for early departure guests. Location was good. I saw a hair under bed sheet.

The hotel is placed at a place which is very much nearby from Copacabana beach. Metro station is also very near. The hotel have free breakfast which is very good. Staff is professional, helpful and polite. Overall a good hotel and would recommend the same.

Good location for the price but the WiFi and internet sucks…shop around for your own tours cause they do not tell you everything about the tours especially you’re gonna be stuck in traffic for hours and extra hidden costs when you get where you’re going.

Watch out for the checkout scam. Tactics this hotel use for foreign citizens leaving the country. They add ridiculous charges to your checkout bill and threaten to call the cops if u don't pay it. I paid the bill without the excess charges and left. Such a shameful modus operandi to hit your wallets before leaving the country. This is a 2 star hotel at best. Don't believe the pictures. The gym is falling apart, elevators are scary and it jerks when it stops. I stayed for 19 days and the breakfast are the same everyday. The housekeeping services is an on demand 1 star service. They do not use vacuum cleaners so the beach sand will remain in your floor for long. Overall, I give this hotel a 1 to 2 star rating.

The reservation was made for a single room. The guest brought escorts several times, handing the key directly to them (on the street, before entering the Hotel) so that he would not be charged. However, bringing companions has a cost, and that is what the Hotel launched in your account. Upon check out, after being charged, angrily threw the money (less than the amount charged) in the receptionist's face and left. His comments about the hotel are not good, but we don't understand why he stayed with him for so long.

Incredible stay!
Location was amazing right behind Copacabana Palace Hotel. Close to everything. Parking can be found on the hotel street by paying rotative parking slips that can be bought from newsstands and business around

The hotel staff is extremely unfriendly. They put several small charges on my bill that I did purchase. When I told them I refused to pay the full amount, one of the employees picked up a traffic cone and threatened to hit me with it. He then challenged me to a fight. The same employee held my bag from me and told my Uber driver to leave me. The beds are not very comfortable at all. It is extremely inconvenient that only 1 key is provided to each room and electricity will not work unless you have that key in the room. This makes it difficult to charge electronics during the day. It also makes it difficult to enter your room if you and whomever you are sharing your room with decide to do different things during the day. The complimentary breakfast is very limited with options and most items are substandard. They will not allow you to bring friends back to your room. I travel very frequently all around the world and have never been more dissatisfied with any hotel I have ever stayed.

The property is located in a central location, close to groceries, restaurants, pharmacies and the beach. Property is a bit outdated though. Staff are nice and helpful. Breakfast was included so that was nice. I wish they had Pão de Queijo daily as I would just stay at a hotel for that LOL. Anyway, they did alternate one item in the breakfast buffet each day and Pão de Queijo was included once in my 6 days. So that was nice. Most hotels normally wouldn't change the offerings.

Great location, very clean & comfortable. Staffs are all friendly & helpful most especially Edien, Adrienne, all housekeepers especially the cuddly one (sorry, didn’t get her name who always clean our room every morning) and restaurant staffs.

I spent a week at this property and overall the stay was fine. My only complaints are I was given 2 single beds when I’d requested a double. Pushing the 2 together did not make for comfortable sleep. The wifi is quite slow a lot of the time and the breakfast had no variety. But the location, service and cleanliness were good
