Is it cowboy county or God’s country?
Nice quiet dwelling with outstanding views of mesas and country farms. We enjoyed this spot as a family because it’s between ski resorts Sunlight and Powderhorn. Lowkey and relaxing atmosphere yet has a big kitchen, filtered water, and cozy wood stove. We’d like to come back again and explore more.

Beautiful Scenery, Quiet, Clean, A+
Werkend stay was perfect. Business partner and I took a few extra days in the Rockies after wrapping up work in Denver. We wanted a place to rest at night, close to Glenwood so we could Christmas shop for our woves and enjoy the Hot Springs. This location was perfect, home was private, clean, and well appointed for the ideal cabin in the woods style stay.

Trip to visit son over Thanksgiving
Our son relocated to Colorado in September to start an electcian apprenticeship. We came down from western Washington to visit and bring him some things he left behind in a hurry, get him into a new rig — accident, truck totaled — drive with caution here. Ha! Last minute we decided a VRBO would be smarter than buying all the kitchen things for me to make Thanksgiving dinner at our son’s apartment. I packed my roasting pan because it’s not a standard thing you will find at a VRBO and it was the only thing I needed. Literally everything you need to make a big meal is in the kitchen. We only used one bed, the master, and it was very comfortable sleeping. We do bring our own pillows everywhere but the linens were just fine, and the living room was super fun because of the reclining couches. Little things like this entertain me. Gorgeous views, loved the balcony. We live in the country at home and don’t love hotels so this was an awesome space that my husband could chill and “glass” for fun with his binoculars and in be in peace on a road trip. If our son stays in the area, we will continue to pick this as our first VRBO choice. No need to find anything else, it was perfect.

Peaceful Retreat
My wife and I scheduled a long weekend getaway hoping for a serene, quiet setting but still relatively close to Glenwood Springs. Our expectations were blown away! The property is beautiful and peaceful. We had lots of early evening time on the abundant deck overlooking the farmland with 360 degree views of mountains. The small town of Silt proved to be very quaint and welcoming as well. We hope to return one day…wonderful, wonderful experience!

Peaceful and perfect location!!!
Far enough away from people! Close enough for small town visits and touristy excursions. We like to cook our meals, play boardgames and cards and it was perfect for all of that. Kitchen had great options and was well stocked with nice tools!!! The porch was perfect too!!!

Fantastic get-away-from-it-all
We absolutely loved this place. We wanted something away from crowds with peace and quiet, and we sure found it here. So nice to look out at mountains in the distance 360 degrees, horses, cows, sheep. All very quiet and peaceful. The place was super clean, very comfortable, and we wished we had booked it for a longer stay. If we make it back to this area, we will definitely stay here again. Just loved it.
