We liked everything about our stay at Cafe Felix. From the comfort of the room and bed to the excellence of the food. The owners and staff were very professional and so friendly. Can’t wait to get back for another great stay!

Old world charm; nice English breakfast. No wifi, due to broken cable, but that meant I spent some time "watching" the wood fire sparkle in the evening shade. Riebeek is always pleasant to visit and I will be back

was no more than expected from this type of b&b. the seem to be be 1 lady running the whole place was efficient and friendly. room was adequate, but you need to be very short to open and close the bathroom facilities. a complimentary use of a hairdryer is ok if there is a suitable plug fitting to fit the round 2 pin plug which are not common in sa. breakfast was very good. whole place nice ambiance but looks a little "tired" . but would recommend.

Threatening owner
I booked a loft suite, on arrival I was told by the staff that the owner had over booked, I was given a small room, not the one I booked, no view whatsoever, on leaving the property later that day the owner threatened to call the police for not paying for the room, even though the room was fully paid for via hotels.com the owner continually threatened to call the police throughout the day, hotels.com assured me the matter was between them and the hotel owner, avoid this place at all cost!

Unfortunately this guest's payment bounced prior to his arrival. We did hold a room open for him as a favour but frankly when payments are declined prior to arrival that does usually mean that the guest is either not coming or they are dodgy. He refused to pay for his room when he checked-in and again when he left the following day. That is a criminal offence, but I have tried , despite his rudeness, to settle this matter amicably. He has still to pay for his room. He is certainly not welcome at any of my establishments again and I would want all hospitality establishments to be very wary about receiving payment from this man.

Hello Bo, I am really so sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. The pool is not dirty, it is simply the treatment process that makes the water a little milky for a day or two. Our rooms are styled in a French Provence manner. The room that you stayed in has a four-poster bed, an en-suite shower and bathroom and a charming patio looking onto the pool. The comment about unfriendly staff really leaves me without words as we are always complimented for actually having very friendly and helpful staff.
