We booked a matrimonial double room with a view of the Cathedral. The room we booked showed pictures of a suite with a double canopy bed with a couch and balcony. The room we got had no couch, no balcony, no canopy bed and an attic window instead. When we booked the room in March 2026 the cost was around $490 per night. When we arrived other rooms of same quality in same hotel were going for $240 a night. We apparently got slammed with premium pricing by booking early. We arrived to stay at the hotel around 4pm and it was a hot day and in the lobby the water dispenser for guests was empty. There were minimal amenities as we found no bottled water nor coffee maker in the room when we checked in which was provided by all other hotels we stayed at on our trip. The air conditioning did not cool the room sufficiently. When we tried to contact the main desk to complain, nobody was available to help us, Other arriving guests were waiting in the lobby to check in but no one was there. We contacted the hotel about our experience and they have not responded to our concerns. Needless to say we were very dissapointed
